Happy Friday! Here is a good resume tip for people in financial services. You need to be clear about what your responsibilities actually are, not what you wish them to be. Being vague for the purpose of broadening out what you can go for doesn’t work in financial services. People hire you for what you know (non-entry level) not what you don’t! Especially if you want to get paid! First line under the company you work for should be what your job is. That gives people that don’t know your background context, which in our business is very important.  If, I or the HR professional reviewing your resume cant figure out what you do every day than that is a problem. Adjust the resume for a job with your bullets and accomplishments but what you do and are responsible for overseeing and/or producing, shouldn’t really change. For honest unfiltered advice on your resume, you will get it from myself and my team. We want to help you get interviews and land that job!
