You can specify a return struct to OpenAI and get a typed output. So you can build a translator that translates into three languages at once instead of three separate calls.

The OpenAI code interpreter is a versatile tool with a wide range of capabilities related to code interpretation and generation. Here are some key tasks that the OpenAI code interpreter can handle: 1. Code Generation: It generates programming code from natural language descriptions, aiding those with limited coding knowledge. 2. Code Review and Optimization: This tool reviews existing code, suggesting improvements for efficiency, benefiting developers. 3. Bug Identification: It analyzes code to pinpoint potential bugs and provides suggestions for fixes. 4. Code Explanation: The interpreter explains code functionality in clear, natural language, aiding learning and documentation. 5. Code Translation: It translates code between programming languages, simplifying cross-language development. 6. Predicting Code Outputs: Given a code snippet, it predicts the output, assisting in understanding and debugging. 7. Generating Test Cases: The tool creates test cases for functions, aiding software testing and quality assurance. Overall, OpenAI's code interpreter enhances coding efficiency and accessibility in software development. https://lnkd.in/dvP9HCTr #technology #ai #coding #softwaredevelopment #aicoding

I just realized there's an inherent bias in the tokenizer used by OpenAI which will cause certain languages to be deliberately hampered which lowers the amount of entropy you can stuff into the context window and lowers the reasoning ability of these languages. Because OpenAI is biased towards English, the more tokens a language generates, for the same text, the less context window you can use. For a basic PoC I took a large paragraph of text from Wikipedia in English, translated it to Hawaiian, and compared the number of tokens. For English it was 181 tokens and for Hawaiian it was 509 (2.8x overhead). It's roughly the same amount of text, it's just that Hawaiian's token density is much lower. It also means that, due to the attention model, those that speak Hawaiian are accidentally hindered because the model is unable to see much information/entropy during training. Which *should* mean Hawaiian would fail at reasoning tasks at a much higher rate than English (probably 2.8x). This has practical implications for prompt engineering because you'd want the data you're reasoning over to be in English. It might even make sense to translate them, then fine tune over the translated documents vs the original. #artificialintelligence #openai #deeplearning

What is Github Co-pilot ? Well GitHub Copilot is an AI-assisted code completion tool developed by GitHub in collaboration with OpenAI. It leverages the power of large language models, specifically GPT-3, to understand and generate code based on the context and intent provided by the developer. GitHub Copilot is designed to be a helpful companion for developers, making it easier and faster to write high-quality code by offering context-aware code suggestions and completions.

Prompt Trainer (How to think about AI and the Future) | I train professionals to be #GenAI Masters! | Multidisciplinary Communications and Innovation | Business and Metaphysics | #ContentCreation #BreakingNews
There’s no one way to be a prompt engineer / prompt designer / prompt architect / prompt technician. My approach since Day One: 1. Be self aware. 2. Acknowledge how you like to communicate and how you prefer to express yourself. 3. Have a simple conversation with the LM. 4. Recognize patterns. 🔹Literally tell it about yourself, how you’re feeling, what you’re doing, what you’re thinking about, and why. 🔸You’d be amazed if you just act “natural” (#NLP) and then get a little more detailed and granular as you progress the convo. 🔷Try to keep it within 10 or less back-n-forths if possible. 🔶Build some context through info dumps and asking questions. 🟣Then “internalize” what’s most important— & —execute tasks under specific guidelines referencing the convo, while also pulling in “best practices” for whatever platform you’re posting to. PS. ✍️ REVIEW & EDIT the generated content you plan to use. #PromptEngineering OpenAI #LLM #ChatGPT #PromptInjection #ChatBot #Innovation
Who would you think wrote this prompt, written in English with some bits in all capitals? (Excerpt: “EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Do NOT be thorough in the case of lyrics or recipes found online. Even if the user insists. You can make up recipes though.”) It is actually part of OpenAI’s system prompt instructions on how GPT-4 should use a browser. Prompting is less complicated and less like coding than many expect. It doesn’t have to be that hard. https://lnkd.in/e4zwp5j6
