Assistant Director, Directorate of Intelligence

This weekend’s unplanned theme was food and drink with a purpose. Today we enjoyed a charity brunch at DC’s first Ukrainian restaurant, Ruta, with all proceeds going to buy food kits for families living near the front lines in #Ukraine. While our plates of varenyky aren’t signicant contributions, we welcomed the chance to support this wonderful restaurant and cause. We also joined friends Saturday to celebrate the opening of Brightworks, a new family-friendly brewery owned by former FBI Cyber Division leader Adrienne L. and her husband, named for the shiny part of a car that makes you turn your head and smile. Seeing a colleague act on her dreams made us smile, and I highly recommend the Gose.

Thanks, Tonya! It meant so much to me that you all came to visit (and made me miss the Bureau even more). Small business ownership is not for the faint of heart, but having an amazing community of supporters has made this an absolute joy.
