Headpace gets this right with a four day workweek every other week, and then a no-meeting Friday on the opposite weeks. This cadence provides a good balance with a frequent 3 day weekend to recharge, with time to be focused and catch up on the off weeks. #worklifebalance #mindfulness #innovation

Move Better! Feel Better! Work Better! Another great HR Unlocked episode with host Thomas Mackey - Employee Benefits Advisor. This one really makes good sense as to why we need to move better. Lara Heimann drops so many value bombs about why we need to be more active. It is worth 26 minutes of your time. For example: 🚶♂️ As kids we used to have recesses every day in school. Why don't we continue that today in our jobs? We need breaks to move around. 🚶♀️ We walk around in our bodies all our lives and we really don't understand them. Why don't we have more education about them? 🙋♀️ Being #caregivers first may be the right mentality but do not apologize for also taking care of yourself first before caring for others. 🌟 Th best employers/HR/leaders are the ones that walk the talk. The are good examples to follow. Do not be afraid to be different. Start taking "recesses" during your work day! A typical 40 hour work week requires 5 hours of breaks to move around. Start today!! #workingcaregiver #employeebenefits #hr #leadership #employeehealthandwellness #caringconvos https://lnkd.in/dWUHPjrt

🛑 Stop your scroll! Notice your breath. Chances are it’s either very shallow or you may not have even realized that you were holding it. When I learned about the concept of “screen apnea” I became fascinated and noticed it happening within myself... and I teach people how to breathe! Most people spend an average of 4 hours/day on screens, so this seemingly small change of expanding vs contracting while scrolling can actually make a huge difference. https://lnkd.in/e5V6eZ6Z -- 🙋♀️ I'm a workplace wellbeing speaker and career coach - I help people land work they love, and I help organizations retain those people through wellness programming that creates a culture where employees feel valued. #burnoutrecovery #employeewellness #wellbeingatwork #speaker
