𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐠 “𝐋𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞”? 🎶🎶🎶“I'm sitting here in the boring room It's just another rainy Sunday afternoon I'm wasting my time I got nothing to do I'm hanging around I'm waiting for you But nothing ever happens and I wonder”🎶🎶🎶 Well, all of THAT never happens to me - ok, ok, maybe the “rainy Sunday afternoon” is still realistic 😂😂😂 I am simply never bored and I don’t have times when “nothing ever happens” 😎 My dear loyal reader, you saw it particularly in the last few weeks - first Creators Lounge in Graz, then the Battery Show in Stuttgart and now it’s time to announce the next exciting event 🤩🤩🤩 Geneva Supercar Show 2024 is going to happen for the second time: July 4th - 7th in Geneva in Switzerland, of course!!! Btw, please please please do not confuse it in any way with the International Geneva Motor Show - those two events are not related at all and not comparable at all. We are talking here about the dream event created by Manoj Bairstow in cooperation with Frank Muller. It’s all about supercars 👏👏👏 In the next few days I am going to tell you why I am so excited to attend this event, who I am going to meet there live for some insightful exchange - that will be a BIG surprise 💡 - and why you should attend this event too 😁 Who can’t wait to know more about it, feel free to read my interview with Manoj that I spontaneously did last year when Geneva Supercar Show celebrated its premiere. Please see the link in the first comment below 👇💡👇 And now everyone: 😁😁😁 🎶🎶🎶 “I wonder how, I wonder why, Yesterday you told me 'bout the blue, blue sky And all that I can see is just a yellow lemon tree 🎶🎶🎶 I know, I know, it will be hard to get it out of your head - I am guilty 😂 Enjoy the song, enjoy life and see you in Geneva 🤝 Ludmilla #DERRtobedifferent #leadership #supercars #hypercars #AutomotiveIndustry #innovation #technology Elite Experts Conferences #EliteExpertsConferences #LudmillaDer

🌍🚴♂️ Congratulations E-Bike Innovation at Eurobike 2024! 🚴♀️🌍 As we approach Eurobike 2024, e-bike brands have an incredible opportunity to set themselves apart in a competitive market. With growing awareness of the Green Economy, e-bikes are at the forefront of micro-mobility. Yet, many brands face the challenge of product homogenization due to similar design and assembly methods. To truly differentiate, I believe that integrating smart technology is key. Here are some innovative features that can enhance the customer experience in Europe: 1. IoT Integration: Connect your e-bike to a mobile app for real-time tracking, remote locking/unlocking, and ride statistics. This adds convenience and peace of mind for users. 2. GPS Navigation: Built-in GPS can provide turn-by-turn directions, suggest scenic routes, and find the safest paths, making every ride enjoyable and stress-free. 3. AI-Powered Diagnostics: An AI system can monitor bike health, predict maintenance needs, and alert users to potential issues before they become problems. 4. Smart Lighting: Automatic adaptive lighting that adjusts based on ambient light and riding conditions can improve safety and visibility. 5. Voice Command: Hands-free control through voice commands can enhance safety and convenience, allowing riders to focus on the road. 6. Energy Management: Advanced battery management systems can optimize energy use, extend range, and provide detailed battery status to avoid unexpected power loss. We'd love to hear from you! What kind of smart features would you want for your e-bike? Your feedback is invaluable as we strive to innovate and enhance the riding experience. 🌱🔋🚲 #Eurobike2024 #EBikes #SmartTechnology #GreenEconomy #Innovation #MicroMobility #FutureOfTransportation

The End of an Era: Geneva Motor Show Cancelled, What Does This Mean for India's Auto Expo? The recent news of the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) being indefinitely cancelled has sent shockwaves through the automotive industry. This iconic event, held since 1905, has been a major platform for global car manufacturers to showcase their latest innovations. But what does this mean for India's auto scene, particularly the upcoming Auto Expo? Factors Behind GIMS' Demise The organizers cited several reasons for the cancellation, including: - Difficult market conditions: The post-pandemic auto industry faces numerous challenges, with supply chain disruptions and chip shortages impacting production. - Manufacturer disinterest: A lack of participation from major manufacturers like Stellantis and Volkswagen Group significantly weakened the show's appeal. This reportedly stemmed from disagreements over financial losses incurred during the 2020 cancellation - Competition: The rise of rival European shows like Paris and Munich further squeezed GIMS' relevance. Learning Lessons for India's Auto Expo While the Geneva situation is specific, here's how India's Auto Expo can learn from it: - Adapting to the Evolving Industry: The Indian auto industry is also undergoing a transformation, with a growing focus on electric vehicles and sustainable mobility solutions. The Auto Expo needs to reflect these trends by providing dedicated platforms for these segments. - Collaboration with Manufacturers: Open communication and addressing manufacturer concerns are crucial. The organisers of Auto Expo, should work closely with carmakers to ensure their continued participation. - Maintaining Global Appeal: The Auto Expo can position itself as a premier event showcasing India's automotive potential to the world. Highlighting domestic manufacturing capabilities and attracting international participation can be key strategies. The cancellation of GIMS signifies a shift in the global auto show landscape. While established events might struggle, there's an opportunity for new formats that cater to the industry's evolving needs. India's Auto Expo has a chance to emerge as a leader in this new era by adapting, collaborating, and showcasing the best of Indian automobility. #AutoExpo #GenevaMotorShow #India #AutoIndustry #AutomotiveIndustry #CarShows #automobile https://lnkd.in/gzfb-KHd

🤔 Did you know that this year marks 75 years since Ferry Porsche realized his dream of a sports car? In 1948, together with his team, he built the Porsche 356 "No. 1" - the start of the legendary success story of the #Porsche brand. 🥳 To celebrate the occasion, Drive Volkswagen Group Forum Berlin invites visitors to the "Driven by Dreams. 75 years of Porsche sports cars" #exhibition. 🚨 After 119 years, the iconic Geneva Motor Show has officially ended, concluding an automotive era. Organizers announced it's ending in Switzerland due to ongoing industry challenges and increasing competition for this decision. Despite a return in 2024, the show saw limited participation. Its legacy as a platform for iconic car debuts and concept reveals will be remembered.. 🚗 The show faced major setbacks since the COVID-19 pandemic, with cancellations from 2020 to 2023 and a sparse return in 2024. 🇶🇦✨ Is this due to changes in the automotive industry in Europe or shifts in buyer behaviour? 🤔 What are your thoughts? 💬 #GenevaMotorShow #AutomotiveIndustry #EndOfAnEra #AutoNews

My takeaway from #geneva ? Good things often come in small packages. No longer a draw to rival the big shows in France, Germany, the US and now China, the Geneva Motor Show still brought together a very diverse mix of brands, with the established European player #renault Group among the top exhibitors In many ways, the event was a great snapshot of the industry today – with a major new EV-focused player showcasing a range of impressive vehicles alongside a major European OEM (Renault) reviving a classic for the electric age, surrounded by many niche players. Differing in heritage, size, and future vision, they were all united by a visible passion for automotive. For me, the highlight of the event was the debut of the all-new Renault 5. Why? - As a lifelong automotive enthusiast from France, the #r5 is a car I grew up with – an all-time classic. It’s a reminder that brand strength and heritage can still play a big part in shaping the competitive landscape of the automotive industry. - It’s one of the first EVs from a volume producer that targets the all-important 25k EUR price level – key to making #electricvehicles a viable option for many. - It reflects a bold new vision of electric mobility that bridges the old world with the new and is exciting, distinctive and accessible to more people. Hearing from Luca de Meo about the launch of this car, we can see that the European passion for automotive is alive and well – you could say recharged for a new reality. It was also interesting to read Luca’s words about the need for an Airbus-type alliance for the European production of smaller electric vehicles ⚡ Whether it comes to pass or not, it reflects a growing awareness of the need for brands – established and new – to focus on the power of partnership and to embrace new ways of delivering mobility experiences that are safe, satisfying, sustainable … and affordable. The #genevamotorshow 2024 may have been a bit small this year, but it could prove to be the birthplace of some big ideas for the future. What did you find most interesting about the Geneva Motor Show? Capgemini Automotive P.S. Many thanks to my friends at Automotive News Europe for some warm exchanges – looking forward to many more this year.

BROKEN. The Geneva International Motor Show, the #Swiss city's more than 100-years-old event, and what used to be the region's HOTTEST auto show of the year, is no longer. Not only has the next edition been canceled, the event per se will be « discontinued. » Even worse, the board of the organizing committee will formally seek authorization from local authorities to dissolve the entity organising it (!). A sister fair will take place in #Doha, #Qatar in November 2025. I was lucky enough to attend the last #Geneva car show in February and it was the one I probably enjoyed the most: intimate, real access to all the #CEOs and top managers present, time to actually see some great cars in a strange but warm ambiance. I have many fond older memories of walking along those packed alleys in Palexpo with my husband and holding by hand my two little (back then) boys, who were in awe in front of such amazing cars. I know of careers changed thanks to auto shows - and dream cars so beautiful they could give a new direction in life. #Europeans, and #Geneva in particular, once more shooting themselves in the foot on things they used to be best at. The jury is out on whether car shows will survive and prosper (or not) going forward. The good news? Geneva's loss is the gain of #Paris. The Mondial de l’Auto - Paris is coming back AND with a vengeance. It will take place in the #French capital from Oct. 14 to 20. Pretty confident that Serge Gachot will know how to set up another great event, bigger even than in 2022. It will be the place to be. I'll be heading to IAA MOBILITY and Munich in the coming days to soak up the latest in electric cars, auto software and clean-transport solutions. On Tuesday, I get to talk about the future of connected mobility with the CEOs of Deutsche Bahn, Lufthansa and Riese & Müller GmbH as well as the head of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). I'll post a link to follow that panel discussion, which takes place on Tuesday at the IAA conference. By the way: The I in IAA stands for international -- and this year's show is leaning into that motto like never before. The share of non-German exhibitors has climbed to a record 50%, with the number of Chinese companies in attendance more than doubling from the previous event two years ago. Germany's main carmakers have just emerged from a prolonged period of supply-chain issues and are now dealing with high energy prices, elevated costs for raw materials and inflation affecting their customers. At the same time, Chinese companies such as BYD , XPENG or NIO are pushing into Euro as a fierce price war rages in their home market. My story below talks about this fascinating competitive landscape. Hit me up if you're at IAA and are interested in chatting. See you in Munich!

The end of 119 years of tradition at the Geneva Motor Show! 🔸 The legendary Geneva Motor Show goes down in history. The event that has been organised since 1905 will no longer take place. The largest, oldest and most prestigious event is history. 🔚 🔸Inaugural edition of the GIMS (Geneva International Motor Show) took place in 1905, then after a break due to the Second World War, the event was held periodically, every year, starting in 1947 until 2019. Then it was once again suspended due to a pandemic and returned again in 2024. 🔸The 2024 edition of the event had a much more modest setting compared to previous years - only a handful of exhibitors took part, including only two European brands from one concern (Renault and Dacia), and only two larger models (MG3 Hybrid and Renault 5) were premiered. This determined the cancellation of the fair's continuation, a decision announced by the board of the Swiss foundation Comité permanent du Salon international de l'automobile. 🔸 The 2025 edition of the event will not occur, at least not in Geneva, not under this name, and not on the originally planned date. Instead, the organizer presents the Geneva International Motor Show Qatar, an automotive exhibition in Doha, the capital of the emirate, to be held in November instead of March. What are your favourite car shows? 🚗 #CARET #carmarketplace #motorshow
