A new report reveals that nearly 47% of women entrepreneurs in India's MSME sector struggle with accessing financial credit, holding back their ability to grow and innovate. What’s more concerning? An overwhelming 95% are unaware of government financial schemes meant to aid their businesses, leading many to depend on unreliable informal credit sources. However, this challenge presents a significant opportunity for systemic improvement. 💡 Enhancing awareness of government schemes and increasing access to formal credit channels can dramatically transform the landscape for women entrepreneurs. At GAME, we are constantly working to increase access to formal credit for small businesses through the NGAP Program and many other initiatives. Our Women Economic Empowerment Program seeks to empower women entrepreneurs in the new economy of today. With WEFEP and teams of trained Vitta Sakhis (or Friends of Finance), we are looking to increase awareness, training and access to credit for a more empowered woman entrepreneur of tomorrow. 🚀 🌐 Learn more on how strategic changes can facilitate a supportive ecosystem for women-led MSMEs and spur economic benefits: https://drp.li/wwbeV Ravi Venkatesan | Madan Padaki | Mekin Maheshwari | Ketul Acharya | Women Economic Empowerment Program | IKEA Foundation #WomenInBusiness #MSMEs #Entrepreneurship #EconomicGrowth #EconomicEmpowerment #WomenEntrepreneurs #BusinessGrowth #SmallBusinessSupport #InclusiveFinance #EmpowerWomen #GenderEquality #SustainableDevelopment #Innovation #StartUpIndia #FinanceForAll #Leadership #FinancialLiteracy #DigitalTransformation

CII Indian Women Network, in Tamil Nadu for 2023 24 organised by CII Southern Region revolved around the theme “Empowering Enterprising Women – Shaping the Future.” This event emphasized the shared dedication to nurturing a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among women paving the way for a future where they play roles in shaping our society and economy. Ms Rajalakshmi Subramanian, Chairwoman, CII-IWN Tamil Nadu & Director, Career Tree HR Solutions, emphasized, “The transformative power of embracing enterprising women to drive economic growth, foster innovation, and cultivate a more inclusive business environment for the future.” She celebrated a significant milestone for IWN, with 278 members, prominently led by Tamil Nadu in the southern region. Additionally, she highlighted the organization's impactful efforts across campus-to-career verticals, having provided training to 2500 students spanning engineering, management, and arts and science disciplines. She underscored the importance of teamwork, stating that while walking alone achieves little, walking with a team enables accomplishing much more. Ms. Uma Rao Ganduri, Chief Human Rights Officer, Sekhmet Pharmaventures, shared empowering insights, “Leaders are only as strong as the team is, and women, who are highly ambitious, often outnumber men in their aspirations for growth. Despite this, for every 100 men promoted, only 87 women see the same opportunity. However, strong women do not require approval; they confidently lead from the front, encouraging others to never be on the back foot but always on the front foot.” Confederation of Indian Industry CIIEvents CII Southern Region #EmpoweringWomen #Entrepreneurship #Innovation #WomenEmpowerment #EconomicGrowth #InclusiveBusiness #Teamwork #Leadership #GenderEquality #WomenLeaders #CareerDevelopment #Empowerment #TamilNadu #FutureLeaders #Innovation #Diversity #Inclusion

The future of India’s service sector is bright and inclusive. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the BJP is dedicated to empowering women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) by equipping them with skills and tools to thrive in key service sectors such as IT, healthcare, education, retail, and tourism. This initiative aims to significantly increase their income and enhance their economic independence. The integration of women SHGs into these vital service sectors represents a monumental step towards inclusive growth. By providing targeted training and resources, we are enabling these women to develop the expertise required to excel in high-demand areas. This empowerment not only improves their financial status but also bolsters their confidence and leadership within their communities. Furthermore, the BJP is committed to enhancing market access for women SHG enterprises. By integrating them with ongoing initiatives such as One District One Product (ODOP), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Ekta Mall, Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), Government eMarketplace (GEM), and One Station One Product, we are ensuring that their products reach wider markets. This holistic approach connects rural women to national and global markets, providing them with unprecedented opportunities for growth and success. These initiatives are designed to ensure that women SHGs can leverage their skills and products effectively. Whether through online platforms or physical marketplaces, the enhanced visibility and access will lead to better income and economic stability for these women. By focusing on sustainability and scalability, we are laying the foundation for a prosperous future where women are key contributors to India's economic growth. This commitment aligns with Prime Minister Modi's vision for a Viksit Bharat by 2047, where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive. With Modi Ki Guarantee, we are confident that these initiatives will bring about significant positive change, fostering a prosperous and inclusive society. Join us in supporting this transformative mission. With Modi Ki Guarantee, the empowerment of women SHGs in the service sector is not just a promise—it’s a guarantee. #WomenEmpowerment #SHGs #BJP4India #Modi2024 #ViksitBharat2047 #FromHopeToGuarantee
