If you want to improve existing and often good things even better 💡, you won't be able to do this from your desk 🖥️ at the office alone. Rather, it is important to leave your comfort zone to take over the perspective 🕶️ of your counterpart and look at things from a different angle 🙃. In the past few days, I had the great opportunity to do just that with our colleagues from JUMO Spain 🇪🇸. We openly discussed what we are already good at, but also where we can still improve 🏆. Only if we know where we still see potential 📈 for optimization and then tackle this together 🙌 can we have even greater success in the future. In addition to internal meetings, this also included discussions with our customers on site. Because only if we know their needs 🧞♂️and incorporate them into our considerations will we be able to expand our partnership relationships even further. Ever wondered where our name comes from? Allow me to share a bit of history with you. Back in 2015, Jonathan Johnson and I found ourselves at a little pub in Theale, indulging in some gammon eggs and chips 🥩 🍳🍟, when the seeds of Auxato were planted 🌱. Jonathan envisioned stepping out of the corporate world to support the PR, Communications, and Marketing community in a way that truly resonated with us—with people at the forefront. After all, people are the backbone of any successful venture. Countless evenings were spent brainstorming ideas💡 until our core business plan was set, but we were still without a name! As a company founded on the principle of valuing and supporting individuals—not just treating them as numbers—it was clear that our name needed to reflect this ethos. And so, the concept of "Auxato" was born. Derived from Latin roots, Auxato merges "Auxiliary," signifying support, with "Natio," representing people. 🏆 How can one build a strong regional champion in CEE? 🗝 Key points from an interview with Laszlo Ivan, CEO of Graboplast Zrt. -> The company has a versatile product portfolio (floors for sports, home, entertainment, public buildings etc) comparable to bigger competitors, and thus room to scale. -> Revenues already come almost exclusively from exports (86%), but there's push for more. The aim isn't to be an exporter but rather becoming an international player from Hungary. -> Input and financing costs, as well as supply disruptions force companies to become more flexible to adopt to new macro challenges. -> Interesting comment about a floor business: though it looks like a design product, pricing & vol-wise it's a commodity. -> Though there were some discussions about selling Graboplast, according to the current strategy they are now considering growing through acquisitions themselves. Re-listing the company is not yet on the agenda. 👀 Looking forward to seeing how these plans unfold.
