It's been a busy start to the year, with many exciting projects in the pipeline. Still, we took a moment to celebrate with a fantastic lunch at Bebas! The excitement didn't stop there; our next adventure was the latest round of the Miro Cup. This time, the competition took us to F1® Arcade to test our driving skills; David Jolly, Peter Tyler, and Steve Blassberg navigated the road to success and steered themselves straight to 1st position! Well done, team! 🏎 🏁 What should we do as our next challenge? Leave us a comment below with your suggestion! 👇

Why I think the F1 pit stop is perfect decentralized command in action. - Distinct Roles: Each team member is well-versed in their specific role and responsibilities. Whether it's jacking up the car or changing tires, each task is allocated to a particular individual. - Backup Strategies: Contingency plans are meticulously crafted for every role. For example, if the primary jack malfunctions, another team member stands ready with a substitute. - Optimization: The entire operation, encompassing changing four tires, refueling, cleaning spoilers, and wiping the windshield, is executed in an impressive 1.80 seconds. This is achieved through years of itritive improvement and training. - Independence: Team members carry out their tasks without the need for explicit instructions, thanks to a comprehensive understanding of their roles and responsibilities. Translating Decentralized Command to Business - Comprehending Roles and Responsibilities: It's crucial for employees to understand not only their tasks but also those of their colleagues. This fosters a culture of shared responsibility and collaboration. - Empowerment: Employees should be encouraged to perform their tasks independently, without the need for constant approval. This necessitates a strong bond of trust between leaders and team members. - Cultivating Trust: Trust is the cornerstone of decentralized command. Leaders must dedicate time to nurturing trust with their team members. If an employee proves untrustworthy, they should be trained or, if required, replaced. Leadership in the Context of Decentralized Command - Team Composition: Ideally, teams should comprise four to eight individuals, each with a designated leader. This facilitates effective management and unambiguous communication. - Grasping the Mission: Leaders must have a thorough understanding of the goals and mission and should be entrusted with making pivotal decisions. - Proactiveness: Junior leaders should be proactive rather than reactive. They should be capable of planning and executing tasks without the need for constant approval. - Communication: Senior leaders should maintain regular communication and provide necessary information to their leaders. Junior leaders, in turn, should keep senior leaders updated about the ground realities. The F1 pit stop serves as a compelling illustration of decentralized command in action. It underscores the importance of clear roles, backup strategies, and a robust level of trust and communication between team members and leaders. By adopting these principles, businesses can enhance their operational efficiency and foster team unity. #leadership #leadershipdevelopment #leadershipcoaching #extremeownership

Inspiring Story of Na'Vi's Victory at the Copenhagen Major The video transcript discusses Na'Vi facing a new challenge after S1mple's departure, taking on a team of underdogs from Turkey called Eternal Fire. Despite the odds, Eternal Fire made it to the top eight in a Major tournament, a significant achievement for the first Turkish team. Their success not only represents personal triumphs but also carries the hopes of an entire nation. Moving forward, the team faces the next obstacle of transitioning from LAN competitions to facing big crowds and increased pressure in the playoffs. Winning could mean a massive impact for their country and future generations in the world of Counter-Strike. #NaVi #CounterStrike #CopenhagenMajor #TurkishTeam #esports #LAN #playoff #viralvideo #nextgeneration

I’ve spent a lot of time studying high-performance teams. - How do you find the right team? - How do you set ambitious goals? - How do you hold yourself accountable? - How do you balance a team? I’ve watched this clip so many times. It’s no fluke that the McLaren team set a record for the fastest-ever F1 pit stop at 1.80 seconds. - They’ve set a big goal. - They’ve analysed every step, every component. - They’ve removed all of the waste. - They probably failed 1,000 times. Then, they set a record. 👏 https://lnkd.in/egmTqUVS
