I swear I’m not sane 😂 Why? I would of been standing on a TEDx dressed like this last week. But now the date has moved to September. It’s okay though, it gives me more time to prep. If I looked at the person I was 5 years ago. 1) I know I wouldn’t have had the bravery to stand on a stage and talk 2) Be dressed like this whilst doing it 😂 What changed for me? One simple word…PLAY. My talk is the power of play. And how as adults we forget how to do it. Or worse surpress the urge. Play allows us to imagine and do things we think we aren’t capable of. So this post is about that. Give yourself permission to be silly and have fun this weekend. ✓Based on my own experience, I can tell that bald guys with big, thick leather suits and large medieval swords ⚔️ attached to their belts are super skilled, super competent and knowledgeable. In general they are friendly too (on Earth 🌍 ;-) They are always likely to help you and give you useful tips in business. It's too dang hot here (Florida, USA) but I'd usually be at a LARP event this weekend...fighting other LARPers with foam weapons all while garbed up 😂 got me some good quality elf ears and a lovely bow. 🏹 pretty solid shot, too. Anywaaayyyy I love to see this!
100% Nick, just because we age, it doesn't mean we have to "Grow up"! I was playing tig, tag or whatever name you give it, with my youngest, who's 15, around the coffee table in the living room. My other half's voice coming from the kitchen, "You're not five!" I rolled my eyes and we carried on. Don't let anyone stifle your inner child mate 👊

1wSanity is overrated. It just measures how closely you trend to social norms. Which are more easily manipulated to day than ever by social media. The opposite of sanity is not insanity. Insanity just lies at one end of the trend line. Asking what is the opposite of sanity is like asking what is the opposite of a meter. A question that would have most sane people doubting their sanity. Insanity however does have an opposite. At the other end of the trend line. What is this? Super-sanity? Super-sanity is to insane as knurd is to drunk perhaps. And at that end of the trend line you’ve traveled as from sane as the insane. Just the other way.
