We had an incredible time showcasing our advanced technologies and meeting so many enthusiastic and talented individuals. ๐๐๐๐ & ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ก๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐๐ก๐ง๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ฒ ๐๐ฑ๐ฉ๐จ Our team introduced the Technica Engineering TestBench, designed for logging in-vehicle network technologies like LIN, CAN, CAN-FD, and Ethernet. Key features included Capture Modules for timestamping data, Enhanced Ethernet Switches for data aggregation, and a Data Acquisition PC as the central hub. We also showcased ANDi Integration for synchronized traffic injection. ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฑ๐ฉ๐จ We showcased our Multigigabit products, highlighting their impact on AD, ADAS, and Infotainment with speeds of 2.5/5/10GBASE-T1. Automated and self-driving vehicles will revolutionize the world of mobility. But how do we make sure these systems manage safely any situation they might be exposed to in real-world traffic? Validating complex functions in the areas of driver assistance systems and automated driving under all possible conditions and variations poses significant challenges for vehicle manufacturers. The Austrian company AVL works in NimbleAI on novel, event-driven energy-efficient smart monitors, to be used in vehicles during development and driving. Neuromorphic AI will be combined with novel 3D light-field optics from Raytrix GmbH and #eventbasedvision sensors from PROPHESEE. A detailed test campaign has been done at AVLโs proving ground near Graz, Austria, to test and compare different camera systems in real life. As a result, a vast amount of training data is now available to the consortium. Smart Monitors will continuously check what the vehicle does with very small energy consumption. This will allow to analyze the automotive 3D environment from different angles, and evaluate whether the driving decisions made by the vehicle control system are safe.

I will not bore you with the details (see the link below) - instead, let me quote the most important part: [the chip] is intended for streaming rich low-level radar sensor data [and] helps car makers optimize next-generation ADAS [...] for software-defined vehicles [and] OEMs should be able to easily introduce new software-defined radar features during the lifetime of the vehicle through over-the-air (OTA) updates. Every day, I experience the wonders of technology similar to Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link (GMSLโข) in my Tesla, yet I was unaware of the underlying principles. Today, while visiting the Analog Devicesโ booth at CES, I learned how GMSL enhances automotive safety and the driving experience. GMSL technology enables data transmission speeds of up to 16Gb in vehicular systems, which is crucial for the real-time transmission of high-resolution images and other multimedia data. When changing lanes on highways, the risk often comes from blind spots. GMSL technology allows vehicle cameras and sensors to provide clear and smooth images at these critical moments, offering drivers a more comprehensive view, thereby reducing blind spots and increasing driving safety. Moreover, this technology plays a key role in the development of autonomous vehicles, as it can rapidly transmit large amounts of data, aiding vehicles in making real-time decisions. As this technology continues to develop and be applied, we can anticipate that future road traffic will become safer and more efficient, thereby advancing human civilization.
