Have you all read the story "The Bundle of Sticks" from Aesop's Fables"? It's lesson is so clear that a single stick can be easily broken, but a bundle of sticks is much stronger. It's essentially teaching us the simple truth we learned back in our school days – "Unity is strength." It's so true, especially in our professional lives. Working as a team brings more success than going solo. If we're selfish at work, we won't grow much. But as a team, we get more ideas, leading to great success. From my experience at my workplace I can confidently tell that teamwork in the workplace makes everything better. It means sharing work and challenges, supporting each other, and making work less stressful and more positive. When different skills come together, it's like magic. We come up with cool ideas that move us forward. Trust and understanding grow among colleagues. In a team, everyone brings their best, making work better and giving us a real sense of accomplishment. We learn from each other, getting better personally and professionally. Teamwork builds strong connections and a feeling of community. This makes work more satisfying and boosts our overall happiness. Here's a sneak peek into our New Year celebration 2024. The true team spirit shone brightly during the event. Everyone competed till the end to make their team win and thus the program was a great success. The biggest takeaways from our Q1 performance! Last Friday, we took the opportunity to look at what really worked well for us, and where we need to improve, moving forward to Q2. What I am particularly proud of: 📌 Achieving Certified B Corp status, showing we practice what we preach 📌 The best financial quarter in GS2 | B Corp Certified 's history 📌 The most number of placements - with exceptional customer feedback 📌 We celebrated a promotion - well done Luca Araguez on becoming a Delivery Consultant! 📌 We celebrated three GS2 employees 1st work birthdays 📌 We're in the process of establishing a company wide training programme, with expert guidance from Tara Waterman Where we didn’t quite do what we needed to, and where we need to put some work in: 📌 In terms of headcount, we were 1 short, but we’re still working on finding the best possible talent to join our journey 📌 Our OKR’s are still a work in progress, we have implemented small changes for Q2, limiting the number of initiatives per ker result we run with 📌 Our office move has been slightly delayed but we made the most of the situation and are enjoying time in our temporary space until our new office is refitted. Reflecting back on how the previous quarter is an important exercise and one I always carry out. Did you reflect on your Q1, if so, how was it? Now it is time to crack on make Q2 the biggest yet 💪🏽 LETS GO! 🚀
