Undoubtedly, the shift in my role from a Project manager 🤠 to an Electrician ⚡ may have seemed unusual to many of you. Consequently, quite a few of you reached out to me with the question: "Vitalii, are you serious? Are you genuinely, with your education, unique experience, and after over 5 years of working as a Project manager, involved in implementing numerous monumental projects, now transitioning to work as a regular Electrician?" My response – yes 😊 However, allow me to explain why I made this choice. With my background in engineering and energy management, and over 10 years of experience in the energy sector, with 5 of those years dedicated to project management, I have always sought to push beyond my comfort zone. My work in the energy sector has been filled with ambitious projects and technological challenges. Currently, I'm engaged in projects at TEAD Ukraine, working in the field of energy efficiency and conservation on a more academic level 👨🎓 . However, when presented with the opportunity to participate in highly ambitious projects, including the construction of a major 65kV/15kV substation with hands-on involvement, I couldn't let this chance slip away. My decision isn't solely tied to a formal job title. I aim not only to maintain my professional skills but also to update and enrich my practical knowledge in the energy field. Additionally, an attractive compensation package also factored into making this decision. Ultimately, I am convinced that this step has helped me broaden my horizons and delve deeper into the realities of the industry. I believe that every manager should, from time to time, look at things from a different perspective to stay connected with reality. What are your thoughts on this matter? 🧐 I look forward to engaging in new and interesting discussions in comments or via private messages!

Ich baue Lieferteams für erneuerbare Energieprojekte im Versorgungsmaßstab auf der ganzen Welt auf🌎 // I build delivery teams for utility scale renewable energy projects, all over the world 🌎
Many hands make light work.. Fresh from walking up and down the Old Man of Coniston in the Lake District on Sunday. Back with the team ready to take on our next challenge/project. Our most recent project saw us partnering with an international developer / utility emerging into the German market with huge ambitions. The Brief: Moving from development into construction, build the core of a delivery team across Substations and Solar PV. The business had no existing team and identified the need to partner with a specialist with mature relationships in the region and sector. The Challenge: Extremely competitive market with every player in the market looking for the same type of profiles. The Outcome: Working hand in hand with both the Hiring team and HR partners, took assignment briefings on four roles, developing a compelling employer value proposition. From briefings 12 weeks ago, we presented shortlists across all four roles, managed the interview processes, and secured a Head of Substations, Project Manager Substations, Senior Project Manager PV and a Senior Electrical Project Engineer, on time and within budget. Would your business benefit from a specialist team working directly for you, to staff up your latest pursuit, project or team? To understand how we can complement your hiring process drop me a message here on Linked IN or via e-mail liam.hodgkinson@hunterphilips.com #germany #solar #substations #renewables

Land acquisition for wind and solar projects is far easier in the North of Germany than in the South 🇩🇪 Why? In the past, Northern German families passed down their land in its entirety to the eldest son. Meanwhile, land was divided equally amongst family members in the South of Germany meaning plots got smaller and smaller. Therefore #projectdevelopers need to negotiate with far less land owners in the North, making their job much easier. Here’s a list of #wind and #solarenergy project developer positions open in the North of Germany! ⬇ Just DM or email our consultants stating the role you’re interested in to receive a detailed job description. New statistics from Australia’s Clean Energy Regulator show that 2023 could be another record year for distributed solar. Australia's Clean Energy Regulator said in a recently published report that utility-scale PV deployment is sluggish due to a range of challenges, including rising costs, global competition, and regulatory issues. Rooftop solar installations have been a bright spot, with almost 160,000 systems installed in the first half of the year. This trend suggests that 2023 could surpass Australia's previous record of 3.2 GW in total capacity for rooftop solar installations. “The increased capacity saw the share of renewable electricity rise to over 36% of demand in the National Electricity Market. This is expected to grow to 40% by December,” Read more here: https://bit.ly/3F3sHG5 Explore global opportunities: Technical Director - Data Centre (m/f/d) 📍 Frankfurt, Germany: https://bit.ly/3Zz9Zj4 Senior Structural Engineer 📍 Maryland, USA: https://bit.ly/3ZEv6AS Associate Fire Safety Engineer 📍 Brisbane, Australia https://bit.ly/3ETxqua Civil Engineer 📍 Western Australia, Australia https://bit.ly/3ZEv77U

It's strange being in growth mode when so much of the solar industry is (temporarily!) contracting. Looking to partner with solar professionals who aren't afraid to take on "the hardest job in solar"--servicing home solar systems. If you are or know of top tier solar Operations leaders, experienced, mature solar technicians/foremen, or investors who want to participate in this rapidly growing sector, let me know.
