Commissioned in 1915, our first hydroelectric plant at Khopoli, was the first step in our journey towards sustainable energy. The first modern steam turbine was developed by Sir Charles A. Parsons in 1884. Before no one can imagine that we use water for electricity generation. There is a simple concept behind this that mechanical energy can be converted into electrical energy by the help of turbine and turbine further contacted with generator which produces electric current. So many scientists involved in this that how we can produce power by the help ho water . Before 1915☺️
