Highlighting the rich cultural heritage and resilience of the Pakwinyo Wadelai people and the Nubian community. It's important to acknowledge and honor the histories and contributions of indigenous and marginalized groups, who have often been erased or suppressed by colonialism and systemic oppression. The migration and settlement of Nubians in East Africa, including Uganda, is a significant aspect of human history and cultural exchange. The Pakwinyo Wadelai people's resistance to slave trade and colonialism is a testament to their strength and determination to preserve their identity and autonomy. It's crucial to continue sharing and celebrating these stories, promoting inclusivity and accuracy in historical narratives, and supporting the empowerment and self-determination of indigenous and marginalized communities. By doing so, we can work towards a more equitable and just society that values the diversity of human experiences and cultures.

ʙᴜꜱɪɴᴇꜱꜱ ʟᴇꜱꜱᴏɴꜱ ꜰʀᴏᴍ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴀꜱᴛ - ᴋʜᴀʟᴋʜᴀ ᴍᴏɴɢᴏʟ ᴘᴇᴏᴘʟᴇ The Khalkha tribes played a vital role in unifying Mongolia under Genghis Khan's descendants. Genghis Khan's Empire embraced diverse cultures but struggled to maintain a unified identity, leading to its eventual decline with his descendants. Like their ancestors, they maintain a strong connection with nature, celebrate a rich cultural heritage, and showcase resilience and adaptability over centuries. what can we learn from their story in the realm of business: ➡ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴏᴡᴇʀ ᴏꜰ ᴜɴɪᴛʏ Cultural unity is vital in both nomadic and business environments, reflecting Genghis Khan's "Common Good" diplomacy. True power arises when everyone aligns around the mission, as exemplified by resilient organizations. On the other hand, without unity, the structure becomes fragile, reflecting the consequences of post Kublai's era. ➡ ᴇᴄᴏ-ʀᴇꜱɪʟɪᴇɴᴄᴇ Thriving in an adverse tundra ecosystem, these communities exemplify the need for simple yet structured resilience plans. Unlike traditional companies facing myriad challenges, adopting a strategic approach and seizing small opportunities becomes imperative for sustained success. ➡ɪᴅᴇɴᴛɪᴛʏ-ᴄᴇɴᴛʀᴇᴅ Past challenges, teach nomad community how important is focus on inside and preserved essential cultural elements. Local businesses, should identify and uphold with the community core values. This consistency can build trust with customers and stakeholders for the long run, contributing to brand loyalty and connection. Have you seen your own culture through the eyes of a person from overseas? 🤔 While visiting the Remembrance Shrine in Victoria, a monument to our soldiers, I noticed someone drawing a sketch of the building. I sat down to ask them what they knew about it and their comment intrigued me. They noted how the building glorifies war instead of peace time ☮ I took another glance at the Shrine. This time, I ignored everything that I had learnt from school and society. Every year in April, all schools and tens of thousands of Australians commemorate the start of the ANZAC legacy. The event at Gallipoli, where it began, is told as a story of mateship, bravery and sacrifice. When I looked at the Shrine without this knowledge, I was surprised 😳 The Shrine is decorated with statues of lions 🦁 and people who look like warriors from Greek mythology. I understood the colleague's perception: the building appears to glorify war! This was different from what I learnt in school. It was different from the sculptures in the garden, which were built afterwards and emphasised bravery and sacrifice. Was there a shift in how to perceive the ANZACs? When the Shrine was designed five years after WWI, people were still debating how to remember this historical event: as the foundation of Australia, national and imperial loyalty, sacrifice or peace? Australian governments took initiatives to influence people to connect ANZAC Day with courage, sacrifice, resilience and mateship. While they have been mostly successful, every new generation interprets the events slightly different. With Australia becoming a more multicultural society since 1978, the relevance of the ANZAC legend has become increasingly debated 💭 Learning about how a country relates to its history gives insight into their national identity. What will you think of ANZAC Day next month? 🙂 #Australia #ANZAC #culture #history
