The Nuclear Threat Initiative has launched a “For Your Consideration: Make Nukes History” campaign today in Los Angeles to raise public awareness about the risks posed by today’s nuclear arsenals and our collective responsibility to build a safer world. As a part of this campaign, we have produced a large art installation at the world famous Original Farmers Market near The Grove in LA which will be unveiled this Friday, March 8th. Leveraging the attention on Oscar-nominated film Oppenheimer, the conversation around nuclear threats will be further elevated by the campaign's billboards, videos on social media, and 1,000 street posters. Additionally, an open letter will be published in the Los Angeles Times tomorrow from top artists and Oppenheimer cast members including Julianne Moore, Michael Douglas, and Emma Thompson.
