If Solar Foods project is successful, it will not only remove the need for a feedstock like sugar (a current constraint for precision fermentation) but could also contribute to sequestration of greenhouse gas emissions. Imagine building production facilities for high quality protein alongside industry that typically emits CO2. The waste becomes a useful input and is not emitted into the atmosphere.
