During this year's #MicrobiomeCongress held in Murcia, Fran Romero Campero, a distinguished academic and researcher at the #IBVF (the Institute of Plant Biochemistry and Photosynthesis, a JV between the Universidad de Sevilla and the Spanish National Research Council), unveiled a groundbreaking research that highlights the transformative potential of #microalgae-based biosolutions in modern agriculture.
🌱What truly sets this research apart is the demonstration of the extraordinary biostimulating prowess of #microalgae, particularly when applied to crops facing stress conditions. Specially, the study sheds light on the intricate physiological mechanisms behind this phenomenon, unveiling previously uncharted territory.
🧬Due to the application of AlgaEnergy’s #biostimulants and thanks to the employment of AI techniques related to data analytics, the scientific team discovered that this substance activates key gene clusters in crops that are associated with responses to water deprivation and heat stress. A profound discovery that underscores the immense potential of microalgae in addressing the pressing agricultural challenges of our era, particularly those related to stress.
🔬The study was conducted by Professor Romero-Campero in the frame of the project #Microclimatt, promoted and coordinated by AlgaEnergy in collaboration with IBVF, CEBAS-CSIC and IMIDRA (3 public research centers), ASAJA (farmers’ association) and BioVegen (plant biotech platform).

This photo perfectly shows how two strains of Chlorella grow in the same conditions, the first is stable and highly productive, the second is under stress.
Sometimes I see such problems in photos and videos.
If the appearance of your crop, as in the photo on the right, does not work out to get high productivity, you need to solve this problem.
There may be several reasons, but sometimes it is easier and more logical to replace the strain.
