🌟 BIG NEWS: I am super excited to announce the addition of my long-time friend, colleague, and business partner, Corne Jansen, to our team at Coalition Capital! 🌟 Our journey together began in 2008 during another economic downturn, when we both left the banking world seeking more meaningful careers. As the first two hires at a new growth investment firm, we ventured into the tech growth equity space and have been navigating the industry together ever since. In 2015, we each explored new opportunities, but it wasn’t long before we reunited at Inkef to build something special. Now, after 14 years as colleagues, it’s an honor and a TRUE privilege to team up once again. 🚀🔥 This time, we’re taking the entrepreneurial leap as founders in our own right. One of my favorite values at Techstars is "Analyze, Execute, Learn & Iterate." I've heard countless founders, mentors, managing directors, and fellow employees share how important this value is to their lives and finding success. Which is why it makes me so happy to see my company embodying this value so transparently... After absorbing valuable feedback and countless discussions within our community, we're excited to unveil a strategic transformation. Our accelerator programs are moving to a two-term cadence, driven by our unwavering commitment to making the Techstars experience "better for founders."

↪ “I get invited to so many Techstars Demo Days.” ↪ “Why do you have so many Demo Days?” ↪ “How can I meet more companies at once?” In the almost 3 years I’ve been at Techstars I’ve spoken to a lot of VCs. I’ve probably heard every iteration of the above comments and questions during those conversations. It’s fair feedback: we’ve hosted 115 Demo Days at the end of each Techstars program over the past 2 years alone. It’s a consequence of running 50 accelerators a year in 15 countries for more than 1300 companies. But we’ve heard your feedback and now we’re doing something about it. While we will continue our hands-on small class approach (10-25 companies per accelerator program), we announce today that we’ve shifted our accelerator program schedule to a two term cadence - meaning twice a year, most of our programs will start together and end together - resulting in a few hundred Techstars companies hitting the market at the same time at the end of term. Techstars is already a major deal flow funnel to the VC industry. Going forward we will give VCs a deal flow MOMENT and an easier and more transparent way to invest in the next world-changing business through twice a year, exclusive, investment events.
