"Humanizing medicine and reducing the expenses of care delivery." Introducing the next frontier in medical assistance: Clinical Assist powered by Robot Doctor. 🤖 🏥 🚀 In a time when healthcare systems face unprecedented challenges, from physician burnout to labor shortages, embracing cutting-edge technology becomes paramount. Clinical Assist(TM) offers a promising solution to alleviate these burdens while enhancing patient care. Physician burnout is a pressing issue that affects not only individual well-being but also patient outcomes and healthcare system efficiency. Studies have shown that excessive administrative tasks and documentation requirements contribute significantly to burnout. By integrating Clinical Assist(TM) into clinical settings, routine administrative tasks can be efficiently managed, allowing physicians to focus more on direct patient care and receive support in their complex medical decision-making. Moreover, the global healthcare workforce is experiencing shortages across various specialties, exacerbating the strain on existing resources. Clinical Assist(TM) can supplement human labor by providing support in areas with the most acute shortages, ensuring that patients receive timely and comprehensive care. Clinical Assist(TM) is not intended to replace human healthcare professionals but rather to augment their capabilities. Equipped with advanced algorithms and machine learning capabilities, they can assist with tasks such as patient management, preliminary diagnostics, clinical documentation, and real-time monitoring under the supervision of trained medical professionals. By embracing this technology, healthcare providers can streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and ultimately enhance the quality of care delivered to their patients. Additionally, by alleviating administrative burdens and filling in gaps in staffing, Clinical Assist(TM) can help cultivate a more sustainable and supportive work environment for healthcare professionals. As we navigate the evolving landscape of healthcare, it's essential to leverage innovative solutions like Clinical Assist(TM) to address the challenges we face. Together, we can usher in a new era of care delivery that prioritizes both the well-being of patients and the professionals who dedicate their lives to caring for others. As consultants, we interview a lot of HCPs to understand their pain points, and #ehr is always one of the top mentions. From the complex usability and admin burdens to cognitive load and time demands, the use of EHRs has often shown strong association to burnouts. With that, I see Ambient Clinical Intelligence (#ACI) playing a pivotal role in alleviating some of those burdens. These AI assistant softwares automate medical transcription and summarize medical information during consultations. Nabla Copilot, for example, can even integrate the summarized information directly into physicians’ EHRs, saving hours of admin tasks per day. For health systems to consider taking in ACI solutions, there are two key adoption considerations: 🔑 Accuracy: finding solutions that are consistently reliable (i.e., minimal hallucination) can create more trust among providers and give them more breathing room to focus on the patient care 🔑 Interconnectivity: ensuring health systems have the same ACI/documentation automation platform across departments can create a more consistent user experience and higher likelihood for adoption Are there other key considerations that you'd like to add? what is your thought on ACI’s role in HCPs' care experience? https://lnkd.in/eKaDi7kY #ai #aihealthcare #healthtech #innovation #electronichealthrecords #digitalhealth #artificialintelligence

Completely agree, Brian. We have built a platform called the #Validitron to help innovators co-design and validate digitally enabled workflows in simulated and real settings Centre for Digital Transformation of Health https://lnkd.in/gZ3G82C6
So much of this comes down to getting the use cases and user-centered design right. Too many people in the tech industry think they can design products that will "transform" or "disrupt" medicine, yet aren't doing the hard work of embedding into clinical environments where they can co-design with clinicians. At the same time, too many hospital CIOs and CEOs just want to buy off-the-shelf apps and aren't willing to fund #clinicalinformatics in their settings. Those CEOs and CIOs say that their core competencies are clinical, not IT and software. Except that IT and software are now an inextricable component of clinical care. So if they're not currently core competencies for a healthcare org, they need to become core competencies. #healthcareIT #ethicalAI #clinicalAI #hippocraticcapitalism #ethicalhealthcare

I am grateful to MedCity News and Arundhati Parmar for the recognition! Nearly one in five (5) healthcare workers have quit their jobs during the pandemic due to the stress imposed by associated factors like poor pay, and burnout. 63% of physicians reported at least one symptom of burnout at the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022, according to the Mayo Clinic, which is extremely concerning. In this article, I articulate how productivity debilitating inefficiencies in the healthcare industry can be addressed thru innovations like digital patient engagement (DPE) and virtual healthcare delivery (VHD) comprising tele-health, remote patient monitoring, analytics, artificial intelligence (AI) and medical robotics, with a curated listing of high-value use cases manifesting best practices and real-world adoption. Please check out the article below and let me know your thoughts in the comments below…thanks in advance. #HealthcareInnovation #HealthcareAI #HealthcareAnalytics #DigitalTransformationofHealthcare #DigitalPatientEngagement #VirtualHealthcareDelivery #TeleHealth #RemotePatientMonitoring #MedicalRobotics #MedCityNewsInfluencers #MedeAnalytics
