Happy #WellnessWednesday GUIDE family! Did you know it's also #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth? We're all about celebrating that here at GUIDE! So, naturally, let's take a moment to reflect on our mental well-being. May marks that start of Mental Health Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and promoting mental health education. Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, depression—or simply need a moment of self-care— remember that you are not alone. Together, we can support each other and foster a community of understanding and compassion. Each week this month we’ll openly (yes—openly!) discuss one way we can help contribute towards building mental health awareness and reducing stigma. This week's topic is: Starting Hard Conversations! 🔺 Talk openly about mental health. 🔺 Share your relatable experiences with permission. 🔺 Listen to others and hold space for them 🔺 Offer support without judgment. Here at GUIDE we hold space for others in our community when it comes to mental health. With that being said, how is everyone doing today? No, really. How are you REALLY doing? What’s been weighing on your mind lately? This is a judgment-free zone. Drop your feelings and thoughts down below, or send us a DM, and let us support you as a community! . . . . #wellnesswednesday #warriorwellness #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthconversations #endthestigma

Our new People and Culture Lead, Megan Farrow, has hit the ground running this week with a whole week of activities for our team to support Mental Health Awareness Week. This year’s theme was movement: moving more for our mental health. We’ve completed quizzes and brain teasers and had many walking meetings especially on Wednesday when there was a step count challenge! Moving our bodies is particularly important for our mental health, research by the Mental Health Foundation shows that more than a third of UK adults find it challenging to find the time for movement. When life’s busy, it can be tricky finding time for wellbeing-boosting activities but finding moments for movement might be easier than you think. Why not use the time you spend waiting to move more? When you’re waiting for the kettle to boil, or waiting for a meeting to start why not take a little walk? The small things add up. #MentalHeatlhAwarenessWeek #MomentsForMovement #WearItGreen

Mental Health Awareness Week is next week and the theme is 'Five Ways, Five Days', highlighting #FiveWaysToWellbeing. The last few years have been some of the most difficult in our recent history and can leave many of us feeling helpless in the face of things we have little or no control over. It's more important than ever that we promote these simple, evidence-based actions that anyone in Aotearoa can use to protect mental health and experience better wellbeing. Every day in little ways - it all adds up. #MHAWNZ #fivewaystowellbeing
