I wanted to share that my time with Oracle is coming to an end. Its been a great run and I’ve worked with a ton of brilliant people. I’ve had the privilege of leading so many wonderful brilliant engineers, managers, and directors over the years they have made my job so much easier. I’m really thankful for the opportunities that the Leadership, Strategy and Vision brought by Thomas Kurian presented to me. Followed by the opportunities with the Container Native and Kubernetes vision laid out by Mark Cavage. Most recently being able to bring a Cloud Native Observability/Multi-cloud product vision with Tom Snyder. Stay tuned to see what the next chapter brings me!

My first day in the Oracle office in downtown Portland, Steve Greenberg was incredibly welcoming and friendly, even though I was a) in a different team entirely and b) so shy he probably thought I was being standoffish. First day was a good predictor: Steve’s just a very very nice, very warm man whose teams really seem to dig him. Twilio is lucky to get you Steve!

2yI was hired by Steve and started my first day at Oracle exactly 5,934 days (16 yrs and 3 mos) ago and it was like yesterday. We went though so many highs and lows (mostly highs) together. He is an amazing manager, friend, and human being. He mentored me, guided me, and allowed me to continue to grow. I can't thanks him enough to allow me to work for him in the last 1.5+ decades. Steve, I feel like you have unlimited tools in your toolbox. I have NO DOUBT that you will continue to build many many great teams and products wherever you go. I am just glad that I worked for one of the greatest teams that you have built so far. I look forward to seeing your next big thing. Take care and stay in touch.
