As I celebrate my 1 Year anniversary with Okta I can’t help but reflect on what can only be described as probably one of the most transformative years of my career. Day 1, June 12th 2023 started a little earlier for me than usual, at 3am as I walked up and down Orchard Road with my entirely sleep resistant 5 month old Delphine. By the end of Day 1, I had been onboarded by the best Ritika Sharan connected with the the most responsible and generous onboarding buddy and peer you could ever ask for Joshua Kroeze, and by the end of the week I had connected with the entire APJ leadership team and was hooked on our APJ GTM and approach - Everest is a team sport and the importance of knowing when to rock and when to share the #redbandana. It was a year of new beginnings, new market and office openings, building and reinforcing connections within the APJ Presales team and beyond, transformative organisational change and a year of enormous personal and professional growth for me. I am so incredibly grateful for the kindness, the generosity, the grace and patience shared with me by my peers and colleagues within the region and across the globe, and the perseverance and dedication demonstrated by our incredible SEs and my formidable Presales leadership team. A huge thank you to Doug Ito and Ben Goodman for your relentless support and investment in me, and for reminding me even on the toughest days to have fun (and eat ice cream), and that you’re so glad I’m here, because I’m so glad I’m here too. 🤘
