Mastering Business Efficiency: Cost Controlling Ing. Ladislav Sim FCCA, from Holcim European Business Services, revealed controlling practices during a lecture to the PHF EU students on the occasion of the Week of Science and Technology in Slovakia in 2023. The lecture began with an explanation of the production process and the corresponding cost centres. Subsequently, practical examples were used to show how certain costs are allocated to these cost centres, including the use of the SAP system for cost monitoring. The lecture triggered an interesting discussion, which focused mainly on the following: - checking the accuracy of cost accounting on individual cost centres, - the integration of KPIs with the motivation system, - the current challenges faced by controllers. There was also an in-depth discussion on the role of automation in controlling with the aim of increasing work efficiency. #controlling #university #costs #business

Everyone interested in SAP Product Costing talks about something called Material Ledger - Actual Costing. Let me tell you what that is and why it's important👇 Actual costing allows us to allocate the price variances from Expense / Gain in P&L to Stock accounts in the Balance Sheet. In another way: Actual costing identifies all variances through the production chain, and the items' consumption vs the remaining stock, then capitalizes the variances related to the remaining stock to the Balance Sheet and leaves the rest in P&L.
