We've been doing so much growing over the last year, we got tired of passing our lone branded tablecloth around all seven of our offices when it was needed for various events. So, thanks to our friends at Keystone Advertising Specialties, we now have three branded tablecloths that will make things much easier when it comes to planning for the various events we attend we need a tablecloth. We spread out the two new ones that we just got from Keystone Advertising on a couple of tables in our Resource Center recently, and they look great!

Happy #lightheartedFriday, and here's to a relaxing, enjoyable and good-weather weekend for everyone! If you're planning to drive anywhere this weekend to enjoy the weather, why not check out our podcast on the way? Granted, we realize estate planning probably isn't something you're thinking about when you're heading somewhere fun in the summer, but if you have a few hours on your hands, it's worth the listen, and it might get you thinking about it for when the time comes for your aging parents or yourself to begin your estate planning. You can always bookmark it for later as well! Whatever you're planning and wherever you may be headed, enjoy it! https://lnkd.in/dskxcwr

In conjunction with the Dementia Society of America®, Attorney Julieanne Steinbacher presented "The Dementia Action Plan: 7 Steps to Take in the Face of Dementia™" at our Resource Center in Williamsport last month. This seminar is one that we usually present at least a few times each year across our seven offices due to the very informative nature of it and the knowledge shared about dementia related to both legal issues as well as those around living with the disease. We'll be presenting this seminar again later in the year in the State College area. In the meantime, check out our list of confirmed upcoming seminars on our website, including our next one "Five Ways to Pay For Nursing Home Care Without Breaking the Piggy Bank" on Thursday, Aug. 1 in Williamsport. This page is updated frequently when we officially confirm new dates/locations/presenters. If you'd like to be added to our email list and receive notifications of upcoming seminars, send us an email at info@paeldercounsel.com. https://lnkd.in/dzu2Nj9

We have our second new arrival of the summer! Congratulations to Attorney Jenna Franks, who along with her husband, Josh, welcomed Reyna to their family back on June 27. Weighing in at 7 lbs, 14 oz, Reyna joins big sister Ava and big brother Grayson, who is extra obsessed with his little sister and couldn't wait to show her off to his daycare class!

Get to know one of our partners, Attorney Landon Hodges! His career history with SGY started in January 2017 as an intern. From there, he was promoted to an associate attorney in October 2017, and finally became a partner in May 2021! His favorite part of his job is seeing the relief of a client having a plan in place – seeing the progression from stressing about it to peace of mind confirms to Landon that he does his best with his clients. Fun fact, Landon was born in Mayberry. Yep, the NC town from the Andy Griffith Show! When asked about his biggest inspiration at the firm, Landon says, "Julie – she was a huge part of helping me transition from NC to PA and has been a great mentor in being an attorney and business owner." This quote from Attorney Julieanne Steinbacher sums up Landon pretty well: “Attorney Hodges' legal acumen and strategic insight are truly impressive. Working alongside him has been both enriching and inspiring. His dedication to our clients and his detailed approach to every case are admirable qualities that make him an exceptional attorney!”

Did you know that today is World Chocolate Day? 🍫 Or perhaps the more relevant question is, did you know there was such a thing as World Chocolate Day? Either way, we hope today is a sweet day for you and you are enjoying the home stretch of what was (hopefully) a long weekend! #WorldChocolateDay

It's #lightheartedFriday, midweek holiday edition when probably lots of people are otherwise off today and enjoying a four-day (or longer) weekend! If that accurately describes you - great! We hope you're enjoying the time off and the nice summer weather! Many of us are taking today off as well, but our offices are open, should any estate or long-term care planning needs arise. Ideally, no one would have a health emergency that potentially brings about an estate planning crisis (due to a lack of planning) over a beautiful weekend like this, and we certainly hope that is the case, but unfortunately, we don't get to choose when emergencies happen. It's always better to plan ahead for the emergency. Learn more about what that entails by checking out our podcast. It's a great educational listen on your way to or when you're on the beach! Because if you need to hear more about an unpleasant topic like estate planning, why not at least do so in one of the most pleasant places you can find? https://lnkd.in/dskxcwr
