Following last week's news that we closed EQT X, we're excited to share that we have now also closed the EQT Future fund at EUR 3 billion (USD 3.3 billion) in total fund commitments, with total fee-generating commitments to the strategy, which includes co-investments, totaling EUR 3.6 billion (USD 3.9 billion). This brings the combined final closes by the EQT Private Equity platform in 2024 to-date to more than EUR 25 billion (USD 27 billion) in total commitments. EQT Future is a private equity strategy that invests in two themes: Climate & Nature and Health & Wellbeing. Its innovative approach enables EQT Private Equity to hold companies for longer, leveraging EQT’s proven active ownership approach and a tailored impact management and measurement toolbox to drive attractive downside protected returns. 🆕 🆕 🆕 We're delighted to share that we recently completed our initial engagement with EQT Group, one of Europe’s largest and most respected private equity firms 🆕 🆕 🆕 EQT wanted to better understand where positive impact for people and the planet could be occurring, and to what extent within its existing portfolio. They commissioned us to conduct a review of a portion of EQT Private Capital’s portfolio. The review identified, in a consistent and comparable way, which companies may be generating positive outcomes for people and / or the planet and why. We analyzed over 8,700 investor portfolios and ranked the top 250 in Europe. Which firms are leading the pack? CVC Capital Partners, EQT Group and KKR take the top 3 spots. According to our research, the top 250 investors manage an estimated EV of €1.6tn. On average, they have a portfolio EBITDA of €49m and manage 22 companies. Over the last 6 years, these investors have invested in twice as many new portfolio companies as they have exited. Specifically, there have been approximately 5,405 new investments and 2,676 exits among these sponsors.
