Everyone is talking about Shopify Editions Winter ’24, and I can understand why. Before the launch yesterday, I’d seen some eCommerce leaders comment on the new updates, so I knew it was going to be a good one. It hasn’t disappointed; Shopify has certainly levelled up! While there are a plethora of new releases that I will be looking into over the coming days, the upgrades that support customer retention have really excited me! Here’s what I’m loving so far: 👉🏻 Improved product discovery through Semantic Search. 👉🏻 Shopify Subscriptions is now fully released. 👉🏻 Shopify Bundles has now been upgraded to offer up to 30 products. 👉🏻 New discount types, e.g. free automatic shipping and Buy X get Y, which would work incredibly well when targeting specific customer cohorts. 👉🏻 Improved predictive CLV reporting. Yay! 👉🏻 Over 90 new apps to elevate the checkout experience With most of my clients now on Shopify, I look forward to sharing these updates to help them deliver best-in-class customer experiences.
