Let's talk tech, because Tech Thursday (#techthursday) sounded better to me than "Recent Developments in Various Industries Thursday." Specifically, let's talk about #robotdogs. You all know about Boston Dynamics's ground-breaking contributions to my nightmares of being hunted in my home by robots: https://lnkd.in/gyqzdNq2 *crosses off banana peel home defense* BD's Spot platform is currently being put to work doing a lot of remote inspection jobs to ease the load on human inspectors (and to do the dangerous location stuff): https://lnkd.in/gNf3bMHj You may even know about some of the lower-cost platforms suitable for education and research: https://lnkd.in/g5z9YHaV There's even some open-source options to play with: https://lnkd.in/gheShp3m Bottom line: if you placed a bet on "our future contains lots of robotic dogs" then you won the door prize. I think that's how gambling works. #winning

Machines That Will Change Your World Imagine a robot dog gracefully navigating a construction site, dodging obstacles and delivering tools. Picture a humanoid robot scaling a wall, rescuing people trapped in a burning building. This isn't science fiction—this is the reality of Boston Dynamics robots, pushing the boundaries of what robots can do, right now. #BostonDynamics #BostonDynamicsRealLifeRobots #BostonDynamicsRobots #RealLife #RealLifeRobots

One small robot maybe cant do anything much. But how about multiple robot at once working together? Just like what we have watch from some scifi movies where a microbot maybe a little overpower just by working together itself, this robot can pass difficult obstacle using teamwork. Inspired by how snail living, these robots is amazing Video src: https://lnkd.in/gEmy7te4 #Robots #Technology #Biomimicry

It's hard to know when to stop, when that line is good, when the proportions are correct, when it's time... ZETA is going to be my first real concept car. As a kid I was fascinated by robot tv shows like Gundam, Power Rangers and Mazinga Z. I didn't care much about the fights or the story, I wanted to see those pilots entering inside those robots and taking control, so I dreamed to have my own robot one day. Zeta brings that kid dream to the next level. It's raw, essential, evocative...hardly recognizable as a car. It's a single seat vehicle with 78cm of height focused on maximum speed and efficiency with no compromises. Can't be driven, has to be piloted. The design has been heavily inspired by jet fighters, giving the bodywork a stealth presence. In these picture I present you a spin off of what is going to come. Soon enough I'll publish pictures of the real build. #cardesign #automotive #conceptdesign

Exploring the capabilities of Deep Robotics' bionic dog really highlights the intersection of AI technology and robotic innovation. With its ability to maneuver various terrains, real-time image transmission, and self-learning features, this robot dog is not just a marvel of engineering—it’s a glimpse into the future of both home defense and complex environments. I love the potential here, but I must admit, the idea is somewhat intimidating. They made it as a dog because if they made an arachnid or a person, people would freak out. Imagine a version engineered for military use or even as a home defense system where, instead of investigating a strange noise yourself, you could dispatch a team of these dogs to ensure your safety. #Robotics #HomeSecurity #FutureTech

Who's ready to face off in the ring against a robot? !!! The researchers claim this is a great use case for developing the cognitive capabilities of a humanoid robot. I guess it's a different way to test the balance and path planning for the kinematic model of the robot instead of the typical robot shoving match that we've seen from humanoid vendors. But what I really want to see is a sumo match... 😂 What do you think? #humanoid #humanoidrobot #robotics https://lnkd.in/gj2sdrdx
