This #InternationalWomensDay, I invite you to invest in Black women entrepreneurs. DID YOU KNOW → The typical white family has 10x the wealth of a Black family; Or that... Black women near retirement age have less savings than white women; Or that... having a college degree & being married don't improve Black women's chances of having wealth. As a Sustainer with the Tanna Fund, I invest in Black innovation and support phenomenal women-led businesses. The Tanna Fund awards microgrants to emerging and early-stage businesses, and we do this by harnessing the collective power of our community. Last year, we raised and awarded $5,000 to 8 Black-women-led businesses. This year, we’re deepening our impact – help us reach our goal of raising $10,000 by August 1. After reaching their Launch With GS goal of $1 billion dollars, Goldman Sachs recently pivoted its diversity focus to One Million Black Women. GD made pledge in 2021 to invest $10 billion in investment capital and $100 million in philanthropic aid to address gender and racial bias faced by Black women. While Launch With GS focus on venture investments One Million Black Women invests across a wider array of asset classes. #investments #advisory #equity

It's hard to believe that this is unfolding. Fearless Fund (a not-for-profit) & Arian Simone champions women of color in business by bridging the gap when it comes to funding. They provide capital, education, grant programs and resources to create a more equal world in business - because less than 1% of all VC dollars ($288 billion) goes to Black women, and less than 2% of funding overall.
