Reflecting on my first #SnowflakeSummit as CEO, this event was more than just a gathering—it was a showcase of groundbreaking innovations and transformative insights that are reshaping the future of data and AI. ⚡ 🚀 During the Summit, we highlighted the profound impact AI is having across all organizations. Our Opening Keynote featured a fireside conversation with NVIDIA Founder and CEO Jensen Huang, where we dove into the future of AI and its potential to revolutionize industries. And our first ever Dev Day, a free event for developers, had a luminary talk from LandingAI’s Andrew Ng. What makes Snowflake and this event truly special is our unwavering commitment to our customers. By prioritizing your needs and fostering a collaborative ecosystem, we’re enabling companies to achieve unparalleled growth and innovation. If you couldn’t attend, you can catch up on the keynotes and explore the remarkable content shared during Summit.

3wI find it quite interesting that nobody seems to care that NVIDIA is a major stumbling block to innovation by virtue of ridiculously high prices. The performance difference between NVIDIA and competitors like AMD is marginal. Since all the 'experts' make it sound like NVIDIA GPUs are a must have to do, for example, AI development, huge amounts of Capex is wasted on gaining an incremental advantage. But at the same time, I have to applaud NVIDIA for their successful strategic and tactical implementation of a high end strategy, which has allowed them to become a 2.95 trillion USD company.
