Effect of increasing calumite on the seed count, pulling out the sulphate.
Glass Quality ⬆ One of the most striking effects of using Calumite is the virtual elimination of seed and blister caused by excess residual sulphate, due to the interaction of Calumite with the sodium sulphate in the batch. On average a 50% reduction in seed count is observed. This can be seen in the lab tests below with Calumite increasing from 0% on the left to 16% on to right. Furthermore Calumite also offers improvements to redox control as well as colour stabilisation. Our experiments, featuring IVL paraffin inhibitors, have made strides in our understanding of the factors affecting wax solubility and flow assurance in crude oils and the development of more intelligent treatment plans.
