US government has ambitious decarbonization goals of 100% carbon-free electricity generation by 2035 and net-zero economy-wide carbon emissions by 2050 requiring significant deployment of solar photovoltaic (PV) electricity. #SUNTERRA will participate in the largest European event in the field of photovoltaic energy - the Intersolar 2024 exhibition. It will take place from 19th to 21st June in Munich, Germany. Experts from one of the Bulgarian largest solar energy companies  will be able to exchange experiences with colleagues from around the world, see the latest scientific developments and experience the latest technological innovations being developed by the solar industry. Intersolar Europe is the world's largest solar technology event. For 30 years, under the motto "Connecting the PV Business", it has brought together equipment manufacturers, representatives of solar energy generation companies and scientific experts to chart the way the industry will evolve in the coming years. Around 1 500 exhibitors are expected at this year's show over an area of 111 000 square metres. Last week I visited the Intersolar Europe and Electrical Energy Storage exhibitions, two of the world's most pioneering and influential events in the solar energy and storage sectors. This experience has been a long-cherished goal of mine, especially after working at Intersolar South America three times and hearing so much about the scale and innovation of Intersolar Europe. Europe, being at the forefront of the global solar market, showcases the latest and most advanced technologies in the field. Witnessing these cutting-edge solutions firsthand has been inspiring. The innovations and matured market practices observed here will undoubtedly shape the future of solar energy, and it's exciting to think about these advancements making their way to Brazil in the coming years. The level of innovation in Europe is very high. From enhanced photovoltaic systems and advanced energy storage solutions to smart grid technologies and sustainable energy practices. What is the #VRDT? It's a service transformer (25 kVA - 9000 kVA) that is integrated with an on-load tap-changer. We are thrilled to announce the call for abstracts for the upcoming 15th World Conference on #Thermophotovoltaic (TPV) Generation of Electricity (#TPV15), and the 2nd International Workshop on #UltraHigh #Temperature #Energystorage, Transfer and Conversion (#UHTES), set to take place from October 1-3, 2024, in Madrid, Spain. Here are the key deadlines for the conference: Submission of Abstracts: April 30th Early Bird Registration Closes: June 30th Regular Registration Closes: July 24th TPV-X Conference Series stands as the premier international event for the discussion and advancement of TPV technology. This conference series has been a significant gathering since its inception in 1994, marked by the inaugural TPV conference hosted by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Copper Mountain, Colorado. After a decade of virtual gatherings, the 15th edition of the conference is slated to return to an onsite format in Madrid, Spain. The return to an onsite format provides an ideal opportunity to celebrate the remarkable 30-year history of the TPV conference series. Discover the results of the new study for the European Commission prepared by Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI, assessing the roles of hydrogen and electricity in the decarbonization of the European industry. The study is based on the use of the METIS energy system model, a solution developed and maintained by Artelys. Exciting news from Eurac Research and Edyna! They are leading the path to modernise our power grids for the renewable energy era. With solar energy on the rise, managing electricity production and consumption has become both an opportunity and a challenge. In response, Eurac Research and South Tyrol's leading network operator have launched SustainGRID, a groundbreaking research project. Supported by the initiative Fusion Grant, this fosters collaboration between research and industry, paving the way for innovative solutions. The impact? A projected 55% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030 thanks to increased photovoltaic potential. But that is just the beginning.
