Some great insights here about the new Procurement Act and the Transforming Public Procurement programme that will implement it. Be ready for it rather than reacting to it. #MakeChange
Changes that public sector bidders need to know. I attended the Government Commercial Function's ‘Transforming Procurement’ webinar today and picked out some key messages that bidding companies from SMEs to multinationals should know. 1) New flexible procedures (reduced from seven to three: open, competitive flexible, direct award) should help SMEs in particular, as buyers will be better able to shape procurements to suit the market and encourage flexibility and innovation. 2) More clarity of pre-market engagement and pipeline visibility should help all companies, especially those that invest in capture planning, to position themselves to compete. 3) A central digital platform with all tender opportunities in one place based on the Find a Tender Service (FTS) but updated for better user experience and a single source of truth. 4) Better supplier feedback and evaluation assessment information to help companies continuously improve and learn lessons. It’s planned for all this to be reality by this time next year. Those that adapt their bidding processes have an exciting opportunity to get ahead of the game. #MakeChange #PAS360 #BiddingStandards https://lnkd.in/eNRutANR
