Accelerating the energy transition in Berlin! Our new vacuum interrupter factory, where we are manufacturing climate-friendly switchgear products, is a clear commitment to climate-neutral power transmission and an important step towards net zero! With this €60 million investment, we are using industrially purified air for insulation and vacuum as the switching medium, instead of climate-damaging fluorinated gases (F-gases). This supports the EU F-gas Regulation which was designed to significantly reduce the use of F-gases and mitigate their impact on the environment. 💚

Kudos to Siemens Energy on the opening of your new vacuum interrupter factory in Berlin! This investment underscores a strong commitment to climate-neutral power transmission and advancing towards net zero. Utilizing industrially purified air for insulation and vacuum as the switching medium, instead of harmful fluorinated gases, aligns perfectly with the EU F-gas Regulation and highlights your leadership in sustainable practices. How do you foresee this innovation influencing the broader industry and encouraging other companies to adopt similar environmentally friendly technologies?

We should learn to leave nature alone by having production and consumption sites in the same place (e.g. cities, industrial areas, and buildings) this way, the double destruction of nature and cities can be avoided and much less energy transport will be needed. In addition, if you follow our solution, you will help make the world more peaceful. You know that most wars are fought over resources. https://youtu.be/x0nuCIOGvLs?si=Ik8RPyKpLqXMjpL1

With this new vacuum interrupter factory we will be able to bring our world-leading F-gas free #BlueGIS to a growing market, replicating how customers in Norway have already embraced the #BlueGIS Siemens Energy

Fantastic News! Keep up the good work 👍

Great, but what's the innovation??? Let me ask you a few questions, colleagues: - what is the contact resistance? - What is the additional contact compression? - how many switching operations will the contacts survive?

Sounds incredible Siemens. What are the key stages involved in the manufacturing process of vacuum interrupters at factory?
