We decided to start our new rubric Plexteq People with Ivan: 1. Tell us about yourself. Hi, my name is Ivan, I’m primary a C++ developer, also I have some experience with Java, .NET and Objective-C. I have 12 years of commercial experience and have been working for Plexteq company for more than 5 years. 2. What is the most interesting project for you at Plexteq? Why? Speaking of the most interesting project I worked on, probably I would mention my recent project. It was related to the payments handling system. Although it is Android specific product, I took part there as a C++ developer since some low-level logic cannot be implemented with Java/Kotlin or it is not secure enough. This project was interesting for me because of my master degree in information security and my primary tasks were cryptography related. Basically it was my first real experience with using cryptography in commercial development. However, I would also like to mention other projects. One of them was about video streaming solution. And another one is a multiplatform desktop VPN client. This one was highly valuable in terms of network security experience. 3. What did you learn from this project? The first project I described gave me real experience with symmetric and asymmetric ciphering, hashing, elliptic curve primitives etc. I had experience with a specific technology called “white cryptography”. Also this project helped me with understanding of JNI and Android app & framework architecture. As for the second one, I obtained a good experience with GStreamer (its elements, pipelines, different video and audio codecs support) and signalling process (e.g. dealing with SDP protocol, ICE candidates etc.). Finally, the third one was about understanding different VPN protocols, connection & tunnel handling, routing, DNS appying etc. #plexteq #people

Yep it's another open source library published on crates (rust-lang package sites). this library act as "wrapper" of AES-GCM, the goals was to reach out newbs or fast-paced software engineer/developer who want to implement AES-GCM (AES 256) in rust without hurting their brain much to maintain their data encryption and decryption. additionally i do implement encryption expiration here, it's nice to have features 🤩 kindly visit the crates : https://lnkd.in/g-eUA-vn or if you want to contribute feel free to checkout the repo : https://lnkd.in/gsm3-Nps
