If you’re a tourist, Baja California is a most delightful place. But if you’re an off-road racer, Baja can be a special kind of hell. Scouts like Sean Barber of Iowa-based Anything Scout, have been tackling this wicked terrain at the Mexican 1000 since the 1960s. Unfortunately for Sean, he quickly learned how cruel Baja can be when he put a 1976 Scout Terra to the test at the 2024 NORRA Mexican 1000. What a difference a month makes… Quite a bit of progress has been made across our entire future Scout Motors factory since our first steel beams went vertical in May. Crews have moved more than 7 million cubic yards of dirt, while grading at a rapid pace as infrastructure additions continue.
