Almost 100 enthusiastic cyclists came together for the Schunk bike tour! After the Bike Service Center Hüttenberg (Bike Service Center Hüttenberg) had already offered a bike check for donations in the morning, the tours started thereafter. The donations of around 250 euros went to the charitable organization Rückenwind in Gießen, which supports families suffering from cancer. The participants could choose between three different routes, which were prepared and accompanied by the tour partners. The road bike tour was led by Jochen Schappel. The mountain bike tour offered three levels of difficulty: the beginner tour was led by Danny Naumann, the medium tour by Robin Scharf and the advanced tour was accompanied by Christian Bischoff. Dirk Waldschmidt was responsible for the pleasure and family tour. In addition, the tours were supported by a support vehicle, which was on standby for refreshments and emergencies. Johanna Dywan and Damian Obruschnik were the helpful drivers. Nadja Gabriel and Isabell van Zon were responsible for organizing the event. The groups returned safely at noon. A joint barbecue rounded off the day. Luis Gasch took charge of the barbecue for the participants, who had more than earned the buffet. As Isabell van Zon put it: "There was a relaxed and informal atmosphere that characterized the whole day." #schunk

Vitality in action (without gas emissions) ... I am personally proud to see how Linxens' employees can be engaged and committed towards their Communities. Record has been broken, not for the sake of the record but for helping even more our Communities. #ProudtoBeLinxens #Vitality #Communities
Linxens, recently organized its second annual "Glocal" Challenge, a charitable event aimed at raising funds for local charities. The event spanned from October 7th to the 21st and saw the enthusiastic participation of over 700 employees from various locations around the world. The main objective of this Challenge was to encourage employees to engage in sporting activities such as running, walking, and cycling, contributing to a good cause. Each participating team recorded their distances covered during these activities, and for every kilometer completed, Linxens pledged to make a donation to local charities supported by the employees. Glocal Challenge is part of Linxens' #CSR program called "Vitality," within its communities pillar. The program aims to create a positive impact on society by supporting various initiatives. This event was a great success, with participants collectively covering an impressive distance of up to 45,000 kilometers. This achievement showcased the dedication and commitment of our employees giving back to the communities. Thank you to all the participants for their wonderful contribution, and dedication it truly made a difference. Special thanks to our champions Stéphane Sarlet, Amadou Tall, and Kent Rosberg for their outstanding performance. #LinxensInside #VitalityResponsbileTogether

Since joining Prosperity 24/7, I've come to realise that there's not much that brings us together like a good Love to Ride challenge. We managed to top our respective leaderboards in the recent May challenge, although Greener Kirkcaldy gave us an excellent run for our money. We got new people involved in the challenge, we saved an estimated 546lb CO2 through cycling instead of driving and as well as cheering on our usual stalwarts, I also discovered which colleagues will come through last thing on a Friday and undertake a round-the-island-cycle for the extra miles... Sure, winning is fun but what's really nice is to see the behaviour changes starting to take root in the segment of our company that aren't die-hard cyclists (and I include myself in that). Last September I noted that I'm a reluctant cyclist but I'm becoming less reluctant and more willing to do that commute by bicycle. I've also noticed our bike store becoming busier and less frequent cyclists populating the Love to Ride feed more often. That's no mean feat. As someone who deals with change while delivering projects, change isn't always easy to embed but I've always been a fan of gamification as motivation in the right settings. And one of those right settings will be Prosperity Day in September, when our colleagues and clients will compete for bragging rights but also for the much better reason of raising money for charity - this year, we're supporting Healing Waves UK and Jersey Hospice Care - two very deserving charities. So, if you want to do your part, why not sign up for or donate to the tenth Prosperity Day? https://lnkd.in/eFAaUGGf #Lovetoride #change #prosperityday #healingwaves #hospice #charity #cycling
It's #WorldBicycleDay! So what better day to tell you that the 10th edition of Prosperity Day is ready to launch! 🚀 So far we've raised £160,000 for charity and this year we want to raise £40,000 for Jersey Hospice Care and Healing Waves UK Our annual charity fundraising event sees corporate rivals go ‘head to head to head’ in a fast paced stationary cycling challenge. Using our brand new Wahoo KICKR bikes to complete a virtual 30 minute race using 3D Race technology, teams of three will compete against each other to gain race day points which are added to their all important fundraising total and will see who tops the podium. 🚴♂️ 🚴♀️ 🚴♂️ Team captains, get your team mates ready and sign up here https://lnkd.in/eCS2ijBA #GreatMindsAlways #ProsperityDay #Clients #Colleagues #Community #Charity #VentYourFury #CorporateRivalry

Porsche continues its "Racing for Charity" initiative at Le Mans in 2024, affirming its commitment to critically ill children worldwide. For every completed lap, Porsche will donate €750. The funds raised will be shared among three organizations: Interplast Germany e.V., Kinderherzen retten e.V., and the Ferry-Porsche-Stiftung. Among many other children from different countries, this initiative has already helped young ones like 1-year old Abdiel; 9 year old Tirza, and 11 year-old Allison, from El Salvador. They underwent successful surgeries and have since recovered from their illnesses. This effort underscores Porsche's ongoing commitment to society as core to its culture. Beyond "Racing for Charity," Porsche is involved in many altruistic initiatives, with projects covering sports, culture, the environment, social issues, science, and education. Last Saturday, our founder Gordon Miller embarked on an incredible journey, participating in the Chase The Sun Cycle, riding coast to coast. Every pedal stroke of this grueling 310-kilometre ride, completed in just 14 hours, was dedicated to raising awareness of modern slavery and supporting Ride For Freedom. What an amazing display of mental and physical strength! Now, we’re inviting YOU to join the #CycleRevolution and make a difference. Whether with friends, collogues, or solo, ride the way you want and help us raise crucial funds to help fight modern slavery. You have a choice in how you participate: Why not set your own challenge? It doesn't have to be anywhere near as intense as Gordon's. Your challenge could be: 1. Riding your bike every day during Anti-Slavery Week. 2. Taking your family out for a ride. 3. Creating a relay team with colleagues. 4. Organizing a group ride with your spin class. 5. Baking treats for the cyclist at your organisation taking part and sharing them to raise awareness and funds. Every effort counts, and every choice you make helps our incredible organization educate, raise awareness, advocate, and provide remedies for survivors of modern slavery through cycling. Ready to make a difference? Sign up for the Cycle Revolution and choose how you’ll contribute - https://lnkd.in/erw3b2cd #RideForFreedom #EndModernSlavery #makeadifference #cycleyourway #raiseawareness #jointhemovement #fundraising #sponsor #donate #AntiSlaveryWeek

In 2019, for that year's Rally North America event, I had my car wrapped. The idea was simple; I wanted to draw attention to the cause. More than one cause, really. The first cause, of course, was the Rally itself. Our place in the starting grid for each day of the event is dictated by how much money we raise for the charity. The more visibility I had, the more opportunity I had for fundraising. The other cause was quite a bit more personal; '661' the date of my oldest son's birth. The colors teal and purple to support suicide prevention awareness. It worked; the Disco Bimmer got attention. And we raised, as a group, more than $220,000 for Camp Sunshine that year. I proudly drove the Disco Bimmer into Camp Sunshine there at Lake Sebago - behind a green Delorean (my bad - Dillorean), a red Challenger dressed as Lightning McQueen, and more than 75 other similar vehicles. We looked like a collection of full-scale Hot Wheels cars. It was a highly emotional day meeting the kids and the Camp Sunshine staff - and we can't wait to do so again this year, though I no longer own that BMW. Please help me out by hitting Like and, if you think the cause worthy, repost to your networks. All donations, large or small, are hugely appreciated and roundly celebrated. My goal for this week is to raise $250 through our donation page, which is linked below. All proceeds go directly to Camp Sunshine and you will receive a receipt for tax purposes. 🏕 ☀ This post is related to Rally North America's 2024 Sunshine Rally. As we do nearly every year, my wife and I are participating under the team name Slightly Lost. Our goal is to raise as much money for the chosen #charity as we possibly can; please help us make a difference for the kids at Camp Sunshine by contributing at our Team Page. Link in the Comments. For more information, or if you represent a business that would like to get exposure during the event, DM me. #fundraising #foragoodcause #rallynorthamerica #campsunshine #slightlylost661

For a good cause: Koehler employees get on the pedals 🚴♂️🚴♀️ Employees at the Koehler Group have raised an impressive EUR 10,000 in donations for a Freiburg-based charity that works with children suffering from cancer—through its “Koehler Cycles” campaign. 160 employees have covered a total of 121,667 kilometers (roughly 76,000 miles) cycling to work. The Koehler Group donates 5 cents per kilometer cycled, so this year more than EUR 6,000 was donated in total. This amount was rounded up to EUR 10,000 by the Koehler Group board of management. Another positive effect: More than EUR 18,250 in fuel costs and 14 tonnes of CO2 were saved in the “Koehler Cycles” campaign—that equates to an annual CO2 compensation of more than 1,120 beech trees..🌱. #koehler #KoehlerCycles #Power #GreenInitiative #CO2Reduction #BikeToWork

🌟 Reflecting on Impact: Camelot's Successful Partnership with Ubrania Do Oddania (UDO) 🤝 At Camelot, we're excited to share the remarkable results of our collaboration with Ubrania Do Oddania (UDO), a visionary Polish company dedicated to making a difference. Founded in 2018 by Zosia Zochniak and Tomasz Bocian, UDO is more than just a clothing collection platform; it's a movement that connects used clothing donations with vital financial support for charities. Together with UDO, we've made significant strides in our commitment to driving positive change. 👕 During the campaign, our collaboration resulted in impressive results: CO2 saved: 9,320 kg, equivalent to reducing emissions from 4 passenger cars driven for one year Water saved: Over 4,508,774 liters, equivalent to supplying approximately 2,005 households with water for a year Clothing donations: A total of 722 kg collected, making a meaningful impact on countless lives Children's scholarships: UDO partnership funds support The Saint Nicholas Foundation, funding children's scholarships from campaign donations. 🙌 These achievements are a testament to the power of collective action – from our Polish office. Even though the campaign has concluded, its impact continues to resonate, inspiring us to pursue further initiatives for meaningful change. #Sustainability #CommunityImpact #UDO #Collaboration

💙 Time to Talk 💙 Talking about mental health isn’t easy but a conversation has the power to save lives. There should always be time to talk. Did you know 1 in 6 people in the UK report experiencing anxiety or depression each week. Here are some tips to consider when starting a conversation: 🔷 Ask open questions and really listen to the response 🔷 Have patience, it may take time and several conversations 🔷 Don’t try to fix or diagnose The more conversations we have around mental health the better. Support myself and the OneSource team as we do the Miles for Smiles challenge in February. Each of us will run, walk or cycle 30 miles in order to raise money for Mind. Our Go fund me page is linked below 💙 #timetotalk #milesforsmiles #conversations #mentalhealthawareness
