Open Source is a driving force behind technological progress, allowing global minds to work together, share ideas, and further advance our collective development. That's why I’m proud to see that our SAP teams are among the top ten GitHub contributors according to the Open Source Contributor Index (OSCI). With the publication of the SAP Open Source Manifesto we renew our pledge to #opensource principles and co-innovation. It’s the responsibility of technology leaders to identify the right projects and provide the guidelines, tools and training resources to their teams along the way. I’ve seen the value of open source throughout many projects and strongly believe that it’s a catalyst for innovation while at the same time positively influencing the developer experience. By embracing #opensource, we not only accelerate our own innovation but also empower our customers and partners and our broader developer ecosystem to build on a foundation of transparency, security, and shared success. This is an interesting point, but I have to come back to basics taught by my mentor Moshe Zviran at my MBA information system economics :” the publicly available information is worthless”. How will you respond to this statement ? How will you Return on Investment to your shareholders?
