Recall mode; so after each section, I stopped and think twice about the question(s) generally asked to ensure I'd be able to answer them without difficulty from the beginning. If I can still answer them, I've done a good listening and section preview. If not, then I go back and refresh my memory.

"Close, but no cigar" typically means that something is very near to being correct or successful but doesn't quite achieve it. In the context of accuracy vs. precision: -Accuracy is being "correct" or hitting the target accurately. -Precision is being "close" or achieving consistent results, even if they're not exactly on target. So, this blog playfully emphasises the importance of both accuracy and precision, suggesting that while being close is good (precision), true success comes from hitting the target (accuracy).
