That's why we are proud to have partnered with like-minded Fashion Pact allies to co-create the largest collective renewable energy purchase agreement in the fashion industry. From sustainable thinking to sustainable acting. We loved hosting our first Hackathon on June 18th, which brought together colleagues from across different parts of the business to collaboratively rethink some of our most iconic products through a circular lens. 🖥️ We were honored to have Matteo Ward, CEO and co-founder of WRÅD, join us for the event and guide us through some of the biggest sustainability challenges faced by the sector.  In the coming months, the prototypes developed on the day will be presented to a panel of Ferragamo leaders – watch this space to see what happens next! In the footsteps of Salvatore and Wanda: the power to believe in dreams.   In line with our #PeopleValues, we firmly believe in the power of #development of new generations: the inspiring story of #SalvatoreFerragamo and #WandaFerragamo was the common thread of a Special Day dedicated to our employees’ children, to motivate and inspire them to believe in the power of dreams. We are so lucky to be able to learn from Wanda and Salvatore Ferragamo: even when life was not generous with them, they never gave up. And it was their #courage and foresight that kept them #reimagining and #evolving Ferragamo whilst remaining true to their original ideas.   The first Open Day, on June 19th, was dedicated to high school students and college freshmen: they embarked on a journey to discover the company and learn first-hand from colleagues in different roles, gaining a better understanding of the daily jobs of their parents.   ✅ The students had a unique chance to visit Palazzo Spini Feroni and the Museum. There, they met our CEO, Marco Gobbetti, our President, Leonardo Ferragamo, and Mrs. Giovanna Ferragamo, who shared stories from the past and the values that guided them through their careers. ✅ From the words of our Leadership Team, employees’ children learned how various professional expertise is showcased at Ferragamo. ✅ They explored our Operational HQ in Osmannoro: from the Archives, our source of inspiration, to our advanced artisan labs, where all Ferragamo’s iconic shoes and leather goods are crafted. ✅ And then on to the logistics hub, where our unique and exclusive products are shipped to over 90 countries worldwide.   The students saw how each department and every employee #working together with a #passion to #evolve iconic, just as Salvatore and Wanda taught us.   Here’s to #dreaming big and #pursuing passions with conviction. And having the #courage and #determination to pick yourself up and try again when things don’t always go your way.
