It's lovely to see how our CTO Brad Covey's lifelong connection to the ocean has shaped his career and values!
Here is Brad's ocean story ⬇️
"I come from a family of sailors and fishermen from Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
I grew up in, on, and around the ocean. Sailing, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, and fishing have been recurring themes throughout my life.
I've spent my career using my technical skills to support researchers, private companies, and government in protecting the ocean and figuring out how it can be used sustainably."

As we all know archery is the art of using bows to shoot arrows. When bow is stretched the work done is converted into "elastic potential energy" and when arrow is released this potential energy is converted to kinetic energy.
Splitting the arrow of a competitor is called a ‘Robin Hood'. This split of the arrow can occur in mid - air by sending another arrow.
Mounted archery is the use of bows and arrows while on top of animals like horse. "Yabusame" is one such mounted archery where an archer on a running horse shoots an arrow to three wooden targets.
Ski-Archery involves skiing and shooting arrows at targets.
in china during shang dynasty war chariots carried an archer, a lancer, a driver, team members etc. (Archer count could increase).
"Quiver" is used for holding arrows.

Why I use KMs rather than miles:
1. Most of my races are in Europe (miles don’t exist there).
2. More points of reference.
3. Easier to monitor and control pace.
4. Less daunting (16km & 10 miles are basically the same thing, but one seems easier in my head).
