🌍 Exciting News from my Lab at the Collective Intelligence Conference! 🌍 I'm thrilled to share that within the Collective Intelligence Conference, my research lab is helping to co-chair a Sustainability Workshop focused on advancing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. At the workshop, our very own PhD student Kashif Imteyaz and Professor Martin Dias will lead discussions on the workforce and social justice challenges faced by prisoners and the population at large. Our research assistant Jesse Nava will discuss the unique challenges faced by prisoners in California State prisons. Kashif and Jesse will also explore how innovative AI-driven collective intelligence tools can support formally incarcerated individuals as they reintegrate into the workforce. They will also highlight the potential of these technologies to promote equal access to justice for all. 🌟 Our goal? To harness collective intelligence to forge solutions that address justice issues effectively. We are holding this Collective Intelligence workshop following the innovative "17 Rooms" initiative, a collaborative effort launched by the The Brookings Institution and the ROCKFELLER FOUNDATION INC. 🤝 17 Rooms: operates on a unique methodology designed to propel actionable insights towards achieving the 17 SDGs. It encourages diverse communities to identify practical steps within their locales while promoting global-scale SDG challenges. 🔗 Why It Matters: - Inclusive Action: Every SDG gets equal focus, encouraging holistic and inclusive problem-solving. - Practical Steps: We emphasize taking actionable steps—those that are significant yet manageable. - Collaborative Learning: By fostering dialogues instead of presentations, we aim to create a fertile ground for innovative ideas and community building. Stay tuned as we strive to make a meaningful impact and foster a community dedicated to actionable and inclusive progress! Thank you Christoph Riedl for the opportunity! Thank you Jacob Taylor and Robert Mahari for supporting us in making this happen. Very proud to work together! #Sustainability #SDGs #JusticeForAll #CollectiveIntelligence #17Rooms #Innovation #CI24 #CollectiveIntelligence
