SCUSD’s Nutrition Services Department is offering free breakfast and lunch at various SCUSD school locations and community sites throughout the summer. Free breakfast and lunch will be available June 24 – July 26, 2024. Select sites will be offering meals through August 2, 2024. All children 18 years-old and under can receive free meals, no paperwork necessary and enrollment is not required. The summer meal program is available Monday through Friday for breakfast and lunch. All meals must be enjoyed onsite, to-go meals are not available. Meal service operations vary by each site. Some sites will offer prepared, hot food, and other sites will offer unitized, cold meals. https://lnkd.in/gf_gSC6D

SCUSD students, sign-up for a STEM program at Sacramento City College’s (SCC) Makerspace this Summer! SCC's intro-to-college summer maker camp provides hands-on experience with various tools, equipment, and technologies, allowing you to learn by doing. This practical approach can deepen your understanding of concepts and skills in fields like robotics, electronics, programming, and design. In just one week, you will collaborate and team up to make robots, solder, fabricate, program electronics, use the laser cutter, printers, fabric printers, and make all kinds of cool stuff, and keep it! You will learn about college life and career pathways, all the while having fun. Monday – Friday, July 22 thru July 26 Sacramento City College Makerspace (Bldg.
