Let’s talk about Intentional Inclusion! Intentional inclusion is crucial to creating a successful recognition program. When a program is deliberate in its ways to include all staff members—whether it’s through the criteria, the ways in which staff members are recognized, or the reward—the effects will positively improve staff morale, and create a more positive culture. Today is World Values Day 2023! 🎉 To celebrate, we invited our people to get talking about our company values and tell us how they demonstrate them each day in their work. The Reed Group values are: ⭐ We are fair, open and honest ⭐ We take ownership ⭐ We work together In our World Values Day survey 95% of our employees agreed that our company values align with their own personal values! People said: “During performance reviews my manager is always open and honest which has helped develop trust and respect on both sides. This relationship helps with my confidence to share my thoughts, opinions and motives. Constructive feedback has helped me do my job better.” “I take ownership of my own development and will put my hand up to take control of projects.” “We work together not just as a team but also within the wider Reed Group. We take every opportunity to collaborate and support where we can, even when it is outside of our usual function. What if I told you your organization can achieve diversity, unity, and belonging by building your culture on two pillars? If either of these pillars is missing, the bridge collapses. The first pillar you must have is intentionality. The second pillar you must have is hospitality. Intentionality says, "we will make concerted efforts to fairly recruit and retain underrepresented (unfamiliar) stakeholders." Hospitality says, "we will create a culture of self-sacrifice, kindness, and compassion where all people feel respected and valued." In this type of organization, everybody thrives and there's minimal hostility toward racial differences. Simple, but not easy.

Sales Manager, Telesales @ Crayon | Assisting clients in increasing profits, reducing costs, and managing risks.
Celebrating Pride Month: Embracing Trust, Respect, and Care In the fast-paced corporate world, foundational values are key to success. Trust, Respect, and Care are the pillars that strengthen any team. Trust: Creating an environment where innovation flourishes and risks are taken without fear. Trust means believing in each other’s capabilities and supporting one another through challenges and successes. Respect: Valuing unique perspectives, actively listening, and appreciating differences. Respect creates a culture where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. All this time, I have been promoting Trust and Respect amongst the team, but I always felt something was missing. Then, I realized it: Care. Care: The heartbeat of our team. Showing empathy and concern for each other’s well-being creates a supportive environment where everyone can thrive. As we celebrate Pride Month, let’s remember that these values are especially important. Embracing Trust, Respect, and Care not only fosters a positive and inclusive workplace but also honors the diverse identities that make our team strong. By embodying these values in everything we do, we drive our collective success and create a workplace where everyone can be their true selves. Together, we can achieve remarkable things! #PrideMonth #Trust #Respect #Care #InclusiveWorkplace #TeamSuccess #Diversity #Inclusion

Honoring Philly Pride While Pride in Philly (like everywhere) is about identity, I like to think that we are all stronger when we build on our varied identities together. I’m always thinking about business, so for me, Pride Week is a reminder that no matter what anyone’s orientation may be, the mix and acceptance of all our differences becomes a competitive strength. As companies, we know that diversity expands our understanding and acceptance. Together, we gain better insights into the world and the markets we serve, benefit from a wider range of ideas and opinions, experience greater creativity, and become more accomplished and successful as problem solvers and competitive businesses. As I’ve read about Philly Pride Week, I’ve come across these inspirational thoughts I’d like to share. Feel free to pass them on: "Inclusive and diverse companies, by nature, are more successful because they reflect the communities they serve and benefit from a wider range of perspectives." – Tim Cook "Diversity drives innovation; when we limit who can contribute, we in turn limit the problems we can solve." – Telle Whitney "Inclusivity means not ‘just we’re allowed to be there,’ but we are valued. I’ve always said: smart teams will do amazing things, but truly diverse teams will do impossible things." – Claudia Brind-Woody
