The Texas Academy of Medicine, Engineering, Science and Technology (TAMEST) named Justyn Jaworski, assistant professor of the bioengineering department, as a TAMEST protégé. The TAMEST provides members with an opportunity to showcase their research and get to network with top researchers in the state. His research focuses on the creation of a probiotic that could change the way people break down and absorb nutrients from food. His other research includes polymeric materials that can detect environmental exposures. #mavengineering
