Exciting news! The Flyover feature is now officially announced! It's been “secretly” available on Android for some time, so you might have already had the chance to experience it. And guess what? It's on its way to iOS very soon. A few key points that might have fallen through the cracks. - It is not a pre-rendered video. It is a real-time 3D rendering; an animation that happens fully on device. Because of that you can view flyover immediately and for any activity. It will also enable us to do all kinds of cool stuff with it in the future. Stay tuned 🙂 - It is rather simple. We know. And we are actively working on making it better. In fact, the Android version could receive a pretty significant update soon. 😇 - It’s a leap forward on our journey of bringing the FATMAP 🗺️technology into Strava. Their mapping engine is second to none. It is something that is hard to describe, you have to experience it yourself. And there’s so much more yet to be done. Exciting times! 😍 And last not least, I have had so much fun working on it!
