Up, up, and... in! It's time to raise the ramp at The Pink House! 💪 Help CLINIC Alternative Medicines make their wellness center accessible to everyone who needs it! CLINIC is on a mission to provide life-changing alternative medicine to people with limited mobility. But there's one last hurdle to overcome - building a ramp. With your support, we can make sure individuals in wheelchairs, those using walkers or canes, and anyone facing difficulty with stairs can access the care they deserve. Since 2011, CLINIC has been serving the Northampton community, but their previous location posed accessibility challenges. Now, they've purchased a new building and made improvements, but they need your help to complete the mission. They moved into 'The Pink House' at 53 Center Street last November and have already made some modifications to accommodate wheelchairs. Now, they need your help to complete Phase Two: ✅ Remove a large, dying tree obstructing the future ramp  ✅ Excavate, pour footers, and construct a durable TREX ramp  ✅ Install a push-button activator for the rear door  ✅ Finish the back porch with railings and siding for safety and aesthetics  ✅ Add signage and lighting to make the ramp easily identifiable and welcoming Together, we can empower individuals to access the care they need and deserve. 📢 What your College is doing for you On behalf of our members, in the past two weeks ⬇️ ✅ We gave evidence to the Health Select Committee’s evidence session on the NHS long-term workforce plan, making clear that more must be done around retention of existing GPs. https://lnkd.in/e8cTWTt6 ✅ We wrote to Steve Brine MP, Chair of the Health Select Committee, to say we want to work with DHSC and NHSE to devise a more ambitious plan for GP retention and capital investment. ✅ We hosted a summit looking for tangible solutions to address health inequalities bringing together representatives from across the NHS, public health and charities. ✅ We continue to take every opportunity to speak out in the press about the intense workload and workforce pressures facing GPs – including in response to the latest GP Patient survey and Lib Dem campaigning on waiting times. https://lnkd.in/e2M8icrB ✅ We've recommended that 1,583 GP trainees receive their Certificate of Completion of Training since the start of June, allowing them to practise independently as a GP in the UK. ✅ We've celebrated the start of South Asian Heritage Month by sharing members' stories, including Chair Kamila Hawthorne's own reflections. https://lnkd.in/e73VDiFm ✅ We responded to concerning UKHSA data on measles cases, urging parents to ensure their children’s MMR jabs are up to date. https://lnkd.in/etzZpviZ
