Following comprehensive factory acceptance testing, this mtu Kinetic PowerPack is destined for a long-standing data centre customer in Dublin, Ireland. The facility is protected from the consequences of poor-quality power and power outages by four 2000 KVA mtu Kinetic PowerPacks located in purpose-built acoustic plant rooms. The original facility design provisioned for future expansion and over recent weeks, our project delivery specialists have been preparing for the new system’s arrival and integration.    The systems are connected downstream to an IP bus through a choke to provide a fault tolerant and concurrently maintainable N+1 solution.  They run in synchronism with the capability to share load. In conditioning mode, the critical loads are directly connected to their respective mtu Kinetic PowerPack and in the event of a system being unavailable, the corresponding load is connected to the IP bus and is fed by the remaining units with no impact on the data centre. Rolls-Royce has approved the use of environmentally friendly #HVO and other EN15940 synthetic diesel fuels in mtu Kinetic PowerPacks based on mtu Series 1600 & 4000 diesel engines – more details can be found here: https://lnkd.in/e2Mzfihr. 💪 Three-phase induction motors have made great improvement in terms of energy efficiency in recent years. Models reaching the Super Efficiency level (IE4) are now widely available on the market for power levels between 0.5 and 500 kW.  👉 Thanks to their efficiency improvements and their well-known reliability, three-phase induction motors remain the preferred motor technology for fixed speed applications.
