Today in Paris, the 2nd edition of our #EuronextTechLeaders Campus welcomed 300 participants from ambitious listed and private Tech companies together with investors and advisors. As I also highlighted this morning live on Bloomberg TV, we successfully initiated a pivotal phase in Euronext’s commitment to support the vibrant Euronext Tech Leaders community: ▪ Euronext is the first exchange to provide in a single day and meeting venue, a place for high-growth leading Tech companies to foster dialogue with international investors and more than 180 investor-issuer meetings organised today at our campus. ▪ We gave the floor to C-level Tech executives and financial players across 10 panels and workshops, to support innovation and collaboration within the European Tech sector. ▪ As the leading listing venue in Europe for domestic and international companies, Euronext is the key partner of ambitious Tech companies to promote growth funding needs with unique access to the largest European liquidity pool and investor base. ▪ The community of Euronext Tech Leaders is growing. Seventeen listed companies were welcomed as new members to the segment in 2023 after the first launch of the initiative in June 2022, bringing the total to 122 Euronext Tech Leaders listed companies. Thank you to our community of talented Euronext Tech Leaders, our partners in this initiative, the investors and all the talented Tech companies which attended the event today and made this event a great success. Our team had a fruitful time at the 43rd edition of the Gitex Global conference, where they had the chance to connect with leaders and start-ups in the field of financial technology. Participating in round table discussions with CTOs and Tech Gurus was a particularly engaging experience. The prevailing theme of the conference revolved around emerging technologies, with the majority of exhibitors highlighting innovation, new use cases, and disruptive changes that are reshaping the world. What is the current state of the European Growth Equity market? Few weeks ago Roland Dennert, Managing Partner at Cipio Partners analysed the European tech market, its post pandemic challenges and its recovery chances. Here are some of the most important takeaways: 1️⃣ Public valuations for SaaS companies have declined dramatically since late 2021 but have been stable for at least the last 12 months. However, the premium for Rule-of-40 companies has grown.   2️⃣ Exit markets are frozen for both IPOs and trade sales. On top of that, markets are bi-furcated. A few exits at strong valuations and many rather low-value exits of companies in distress. Not much in-between.   3️⃣ Fundraising for European Growth funds has declined substantially, but it has not stopped. Quality GPs continue to close new funds even in a more challenging environment.   4️⃣ Investment activity has collapsed in 2023. The dominant reason is a stand-off on price.
