We are engaging with Farmers Across Europe for Sustainable Cultivated Meat Production At RESPECTfarms as part of the FEASTS project, we are actively collaborating with #farmers across Europe to integrate their expectations and needs into a decentralized system for #CultivatedMeat production. Through insightful conversations, interviews, and roundtable discussions, we aim to co-create solutions that benefit both farmers and the future of food production. Our mission is clear: to explore the opportunities and challenges of incorporating cultivated meat production on farms while ensuring farmers play a pivotal role in shaping this emerging industry. This week, in partnership with Cellular Agriculture Italy, Mickael Penvern engaged with #cattle and #pig farmers in #Veneto, renowned for its dense livestock population. These farmers operate large, specialized, and mechanized farms. They are keen on innovation that focuses on productivity gains, animal welfare, and sustainability. Many are integrating renewable energy sources like photovoltaic and biogas into their operations. With a strong union representation, farmers have voiced concerns about the potential standardization of cultivated meat and its control by a few large entities. Despite reservations, farmers appreciate our initiative to engage in dialogue. Some recognize the urgency of developing new production methods to meet global protein demands, especially considering Italy's reliance on imported meat. We extend our sincere thanks to Nike Schiavo and Cellular Agriculture Italy @Cellular for their invaluable support in ensuring the success of our research in Italy. #CultivatedMeat #AgricultureInnovation #SustainableFarming #FarmersVoice #RespectFarms #CellularAgricultureItaly #FEASTS

I can’t wait to learn more about your conversations. Important to have these and find out how to incorporate current food producers in the future of food.
