W𝚑𝚊𝚝'𝚜 𝚑𝚘𝚕𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚙𝚊𝚗𝚒𝚎𝚜 𝚋𝚊𝚌𝚔 to 𝚝𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚜𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝚝𝚘 𝚊 𝚌𝚒𝚛𝚌𝚞𝚕𝚊𝚛 𝚎𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚘𝚖𝚢? The circular economy approach is the 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 to the 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 that we need to confront: resource scarcity, environmental degradation and waste accumulation. The necessary knowledge and technology are available. Companies have realised its importance - but progress is still painfully slow: A recent Bain & Company study found that 𝟱𝟱% 𝗼𝗳 𝟰𝟬𝟬 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 have made commitments to the circular economy - but 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳 of them are 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 their circular economy initiatives to 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, rather than using circular technologies and business models to make the transition🙁 📘Link to the study in the comment box.
